It's full of hidden references to Freemasonry and Orangeism.

The most obvious being the title, which is a reference to the Masonic Penny:

Penny Arcade was written by a Yorkshireman named, Sammy King aka King Sammy, a first cousin to King Billy. Roy Orbison had a hit with the song in the 60s, the BIG O was his nickname and it stood for, 'the BIG ORANGEMAN'.

Further, if you play the song backwards, you can hear a constant refrain, 'Neil Lennon blows goats'.
