Frase85 1
This may seem quite trivial to some of you but interesting to get peoples thoughts. Walter Smith has been quoted recently saying Kevin Thomson needs games in order to up his match fitness. However Kevin Thomson was not in the Squad that beat Airdire 3-0 in a bounce game on Tuesday. Why is this? Surely this would have been an ideal game for Thomson to play in
lancedeangers1 287
Good point to raise mate, I had wondered this myself. Unfortunately I dont have any plausible suggestions why this would be.
bluenose_72 198
Very good point. It would have been the ideal oppurtunity to get match fitness with him being suspended!
bluepeter 5,627
It's a good point mate. Maybe he and Walter 'disagreed' about his sending off, so he's persona non grata for a few days?
RobertN 393
could be they think they rushed him back because of pedros injury and they dont want airdrie players kicking lumps out of him
papaguy51 912
Kenny McDowall also said he was glad that Thommo wasn't called into the national squad because he wasn't ready, yet WE played him in a Rangers v Hearts game three days previous that's played at a higher tempo than ANY international match. Bizarre. People at the club must engage the brain before engaging the tongue.
FlippinEck 3,717
he might only have been in line to play 45 minutes of that game though? I still see the point though, our coaching staff baffle me sometimes

Guest
Personally I think Thomo will cope regardless but you do make a good point.
