Dennis 1,011
Ex-Celtic & Bristol City midfielder Evander Sno taken to hospital having suffered heart attack playing for Ajax reserves against VitesseMidfielder collapses on the pitchBy Alex Fisher13 Sep 2010 19:31:00ShareSharePhoto Gallery ZoomEvander Sno, Ajax (foto ANP)Ex-Celtic and Bristol City midfidler Evander Sno suffered a heart attack tonight while playing for Ajax reserves against Vitesse Arnhem. In the 63rd minute of the match, with the score at 2-2, the midfielder collapsed on the pitch. He was treated by the club’s medical staff and was revived on the pitch before being taken to hospital, where he is now described as being in a stable condition. Sno is not the first player to collapse on the pitch in recent years. In 2003 Cameroon’s Marc-Vivien Foe collapsed and died during a Confederations Cup match, four years later Sevilla’s Antonio Puerta also collapsed and died in the penalty area during his side’s opening league match against Getafe. And in 2009 Espanyol’s Daniel Jarque died of a heart attack during the team’s pre-season tour of Italy. In 2008 Sunderland defender Clive Clarke collapsed at half time while playing for Leicester City against Nottingham Forest but was revived later in hospital. LegendofCoop 17,453
http://news.stv.tv/scotland/197293-ex-celtic-player-evander-sno-suffers-heart-attack/ Former Celtic footballer Evander Sno is in hospital in Arnhem after he collapsed during a match for Ajax reserves with a suspected heart attack. Sno, who played in Celtic's league-winning sides of 2007 and 2008, is reported to have fallen to the ground in the 63rd minute of Ajax's reserve game with Vitesse Arnhem, with the score at 2-2. It apparently took some 15 minutes to revive the 23-year-old on the pitch. He was then rushed to hospital, where he is now described as being in a stable condition. The match was abandoned. Sno signed for Celtic from Dutch side Feyenoord in 2006 and made his Old Firm debut during Celtic's 2–0 defeat of Rangers on 23 September 2006. In November 2006, Sno scored his only goal for Celtic against Hibernian in an SPL game and went on to play in both legs of Celtic's Champions League last 16 defeat against AC Milan and at the end of the season collected an SPL winners medal after Celtic retained their title. On August 21 2008, Sno announced that he would be re-joining Ajax, who he had played for as a youth. Last season he left Ajax on loan and enjoyed a successful season at Bristol City before returning to the Dutch club in the summer.FFS! Hope he pulls through!
