Stardog 11
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9115436.stmDanielCurry14 on Twitter: "Just received a 'told you so'-esque text off a friend. Roy [Hodgson] to leave tonight, press conference post-game. [Frank] Rijkaard in." It's not true, but how do you think Rijkaard would do?
Big Laff's Dodgy Barnett 20
Hodgson will probably get tilJanuary if they start to pick up, although imo, Rijkaard would be a good appointment.
Goianegra 4,682
Would be unfair to sack Hodgson imo.
wearethemighty 186
As soon as Rijkaard left Gala that's the first thing I thought! Feel sorry for Hodgson, good guy, good manger, but all the crap associated with 'Pool has obviously had an effect.
Grandfather_Huck 5
Hodgson is getting far too much leeway in the press because he's a media darling. In reality, he is doing an absolutely terrible job. The way some people talk, you'd think Benitez had left them 16th in the table with a squad worse than Blackpool's. The reality is that he has made some terrible signings (Konchesky and Poulsen) and a very unnecessary one in Joe Cole (wHY sign someone who's favourite position is behind the striker when you already have Gerrard? So instead play him on the left wing, which he hates?) A squad with the likes of Reina, Carragher, Gerrard, Meireles, Cole, Kuyt, Torres should not be in the relegation zone. Hodgson can't motivate them.
mmrfc1873 48
Wouldn't be surprised if this was to happen. Liverpool, under Hodgson are terrible, I'm watching their game against Napoli and they are hopeless, no midfield, no options to pass it to, too defensive, no counter attack, no service to the strikers or anything, their just pure pish. Henders82 537
Is it true Liverpool have tabled a bid for Rooney after he admitted he wanted to play in a different league next season!?!?!?

Clemdog 39,389
They have so many problems with their squad.Torres doesn't look like he wants to be there and is in terrible form, Gerrard isn't enjoying it and is playing with a team he is far superior too, though still isn't playing his best. They play Lucas and Poulsen in the same midfield and it's far too defensive.New players such as Jovanovic, Cole and Poulsen just haven't fitted in and eqaully don't seem to be enjoying it.Then you have fringe players like Ngog, Babel, and Maxi who are clearly not going to become big stars at Liverpool and cannot be relied upon. A new manager could change some of it, but really they have to look at their squad which is far from good enough. The pressure on the same players to take them through the season has got to them, Torres can't have a dip in form and for it to go un-noticed at Liverpool because they don't have someone else who can come in and do a job, likewise with Gerrard. If Liverpool could turn to another striker, who may not be on the same quality as Torres, but still score goals Im sure Torres wouldn't still be stuck in this rut.So many things need to be changed at Liverpool. simplythebest 11,453
Players seem to be getting absolved of too much blame at Liverpool, the buck does stop with the manager but it isn't the absolute full story.Hodgson does need replaced but so does most of the Liverpool squad, they're letting the fans down as much as the manager is. Grandfather_Huck 5
Poulsen's at least better than Babel. The former can control a ball with his feet, for one.Very different positions lol. Poulsen as the replacement for Mascherano is the equivalent of us replacing Barry Ferguson with Emerson
tromperie 4
True, but Poulsen's mainly been shunted out on the left wing thus far.
