He has been no match for Sandy Lane and Bussa on his last two starts, but those horses have both been very progressive at a lowly level this winter, and as a result of running into them and being soundly beaten in second his mark has remained unchanged for those two defeats, actually a pound lower today having recorded a fair time figure last time. He gives the impression a mile round this track will suit, taking a while to pick up on his last two starts, and there should be a decent gallop here with Silly Billy, George Bernard Shaw and Salient all tending to race prominently. Jockey Ryan Tate has been riding plenty of winners lately (including a double at Kempton last week) but still qualifies for the 5lb allowance and looks decent value for his claim.
