The Hammer 11 2,871
That would never happen mainly because if they done something as stupid as that to either us or the tims it would fucking cripple the league

NewYorkBear 93
Can someone explain how going into Admin before the Tax Case is decided leaves HMRC high and dry should they win? What prevents them going after the company or their successors once the Admin process is initiated?

Johnson 27
The club, of late, has been very quick to deny potentially damaging stories like this, yet nothing has been said today. That raises the possibility that this story may have been "fed" to Keevins by Media House or whatever, for reasons yet to be explained. He mentions "sources" within the club. That usually refers to the PR guys.Put it this way, the Record Editor and James Traynor would not have let Keevins run with this if it was made-up cr*p and there was a danger of Whyte suing them. The line coming from Traynor now is that administration would not be a disaster for Rangers. And Whyte said he wanted to "draw a line" under things.Worrying stuff. We could do with some sort of explanation from Whyte of where we stand and where we're going. Especially one that was so easily ripped to shreds by (and no disrespect to anyone on here) fans on an internet forum! Kinda Yes they would still have let him print it, because at the end of the day, they are a failing news organisation and are desperate to make headlines that will get people buying the paper. That story is pish, easily the worst piece of journalism since Jim Spence claimed that Goodwillie was signing for Cardiff in the next few hours! NewYorkBear 93
craig whyte is the only and main creditor if we go into admin he is the first to be paid leaving hmrc with fuck allThat wasn't really the question. Why (according to the Record and some other posters) there is an advantage to going into admin before the HMRC bill arrives. Why does that timeline offer us more protection. Are HMRC not allowed to present a company in admin with a bill? Are they not allowed to go after the company's successor?

Administrator isn't obliged to blindly accept HMRC's £49m claim which will not have been decided by the FTT.2. Under a CVA, there wouldn't be a successor.
