Rangers Football Tournament

Horrendous idea, but thought id throw it into the equation :pipe:

Everyone pays an entry fee, £10 every player etc..

Ask Rangers if they can get us a few pitches, or even just rent a few pitches

Between RM,FF,VB,UB,TBO .. they can get a few teams together.

Even on RM alone a few teams could get involved.

All money goes to the RFFF.

Or donations to my personal account for a mind boggling idea!

Plus, all that anger and hate you all have for FF can be taken out on the pitch

This is ridiculously scary, as I was thinking the exact same thing earlier as a fundraiser for the club or the charities.

I'd be well up for it :D

My cousin is a Thistle fan, and me, him and a couple of friends, (1 bear and 1 unwashed) joined up to this tournament at Firhill they do every year.

They charge £25 and make it a family fun day.

With our support, and the opportunity of playing 11's at Ibrox at stake, I reckon it would be a huge success. Thistle made £6000 + last year.

It's like a family fun day as well, and people get charged like £1`to go and watch.

That would be a HUGE success at Ibrox I think.

Could easily organise it at a smaller stadium, or one of the leisure centre's that have stadia. Me and some mates managed to organise a special event at Scotstoun, you're allowed to take electrical equipment like P.A. systems and the like.

Murray Park could be an option as well.

Im up for it :uk:

Probably be safer for me to just make a donation right enough, my groin tweaks when I think about running

The new sport complex that Motherwell train at next to craigneuk has several outside parks, could be a potential place for it (tu)

Any way we could get someone to contact Rangers about it?

Could make it 15-20 minute games. 8 teams, 2 groups. Each team plays 3 games in the group. Top 2 go through. Semi Finals, and then a half hour final (15 minutes each way)

All Rangers strips - Blues, Whites, Reds/ Orange, Black/ Navy. 1 colour per team in each group. And Bibs if two similar colours meet in the semis/ final.

Charge £20/£30 per person.

Does Murray Park have viewing seats? Family and friends would enjoy watching if so. Charge them £2-£3 to get in.

Good wee day, funds for the club, get to pump FF at football.

sevens accros the park would be better.

There would be more than 7 on here that wanted to play, that's the only problem. Unless we got enough people from on here to do it ourselves?

Or just entered multiple teams.
