Regan's replacement

Recommended Posts

Will they use the same proceedures that led to Regan's appointment ?

what were those proceedures ?

Was the job advertised

was a short list drawn up

who interviewed the candidates (if there was more than one)

whatever methods they used have been shown to be inadequate since a duffer like Regan got the job

it's important we don't get landed with another duffer so we need transparency in the selection process.

we need to know exactly how Regan was appointed in the first place

Perhaps Liewell will do the job in tandem with his position at septic park. After all 'conflict of interest' does not apply to these people. Just ask the SFA's law firm.

What about -- Giovanni Di Stefano a rhegan's replacement??

Liewell has already picked Brendan O'Paddywackery as Regan's successor. As he won't finish his priesthood training until the autumn, Rod Petrie will be acting CEO until the job is done.

Like when Rhegan got the job Celtic will decide on the new man.I wouldn't be surprised to see Liewell take the job.

Liewell would have to give up his position with the tims to take this position as he would then be a paid employee of the SFA.

I think the SFA board make the appointment of CEO, and guess who is on that?

Liewell will get out his filofax and see which of his mates is available.

The job spec isn't difficult.

SFA Chief Executive

Candidate must be celtic minded, flexible for u-turns, brass necked and willing to be worked from the back. He must also be able to accept and carry out simple instructions. Honesty, integrity, organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative are NOT required for this position.

In return the successful candidate will receive a huge salary, company car and regular pats on the back from his master.

All candidates must be willing to undergo Disclosure Parkhead vetting.

The SFA are an unequal opportunities employer.

A list of candidates should be put forward where they each state their case of why they are best suited to the job, they can present a manifesto of sorts to the fans and clubs, each member club gets a vote.

It allows for openness and transparency, no more jobs for the boys or shady deals.

Has Rhegan officially resigned?

I understand the SFA composed his resignation letter yesterday. They just need him back today to sign it.

I expect he will be told he suddenly has family matters to deal with and his resignation has nothing to do with recent events.

Nobody's giving him 48 hours. :sherlock:
