West_Side 1,571
Outclassed by real title contenders. To be fair the did the usual Wenger thing of putting out a weakened team in the league cup. Wenger doesn't give a shit about the league cup. The real test of whether the Arse are capable of winning the title will be when they play against Chelsea in the league. When the 2 meet in the league it'll more likely end the same.
keithgersbear 3,225
Chelsea squad is better though. Arsenal put out back up full backs and 2nd keeper and Arsenal just can't afford to do that and win the big games. Bendtner starting was the moment you knew Arsenal would struggle up front, regardless if Ramsey or Wilshere played. If the forward doesn't link up play or make runs, its irrelevant. Arsenal need to bolster the squad up, its an absolute paramount and get people like Walcott and Podolski back to stand a chance of winning anything. The Godfather 71,896
When you think that Chelsea left out Terry, Lampard, Cech, Torres, Ramires, Ivan, Cole, Schurrle, Oscar it makes the way in which they won even more impressive.Jose can get his fringe players up for it and fighting for him while Wenger suffers the same fate year after year. The squad depth alone shows Arsenal will not win the EPL this season. BlueSuedeSambas 53,791
They have strength in depth for the 3 who play behind Giroud, although a lot of players are injured, but the two key players for Arsenal at the moment are Giroud & Flamini. When those two don't play then they are fucked and that showed last night.I've said all along their lack of depth in those two areas will kick them in the arse and with the games they have coming up I expect the collapse will come soon. G.E.C. 18,782
Crystal Palace away was a potential banana skin, I thought they handled it well with 10 men.

The midfield area is fine if Flamini stays fit.

keithgersbear 3,225
Beginning of the end of Arsenal's season imo.Nonsense.Beat Liverpool and Dortmund away. The difference was fine margins from the corner. The first goal is crucial in the big games. Got it vs Dortmund, conceded vs Utd.
AlCapone 7,678
Beginning of the end of Arsenal's season imo.Still the form team, picked up five more league points than any club this calendar year and still top of the league.
Johnny Hubbard 280
quite like the Gunners.....spent a suede head boot boy year on the North Bank at Highbury when I stayed in a crummy bedsit in Tuffnal Park. wullyRFC 5,230
Hardest game of the season out the way for them. Home game in the next round of fixtures while Man City and Spurs play each other and Chelsea and Liverpool are away.
