novosleftboot 6,285
.Many batsmen would have gotten themselves in trouble there.Must take such willpower and resillience to fight the natural urge/instinct!

Creampuff 22,628
England need a couple of batsmen to make decent innings. They can't afford to be chasing stupid runs on a Day 5 WACA.
Creampuff 22,628
Australia's day, given the circumstances.I'd probably say it was England's day up until Cook's wicket. Once KP fell after him I'd say Clarke is the happier of the skips.

Creampuff 22,628
I seem to say this every day; but tomorrow will be crucial .Early wickets could trigger a collapse, if Bell gets in then England could reach Australia's total by mid-2014. Creampuff 22,628
How do you take 150 balls to make 50 runs at the WACA? .
plymouthranger 3,887
Night watchmen makes perfect sense (replying to the comments earlier). Obviously the times of the day where you can get out easiest, by playing a shot, are the beginning of a session and beginning of your innings. Night watchmen basically gets told to just defend with the bat til morning, then play his game. If the opposition bowl an absolute corker and get him out, at least it's not your designated batsman
Creampuff 22,628
England need Bell and Stokes to build a big partnership, because if one of them falls and exposes the tail to Mitchell Johnson and a new ball, things will change very, very quickly.
