Scouting system, or lack of it.

Yeah - it's all gone quiet on that front, I'm hoping we get someone in soon who has the capacity, knowledge and backing to sort out a scouting system. It doesn't need to be at a Dortmund or a Ajax standard right off the bat, that'll take a years to even get close, we just need to identify players who have potential, the players we sign tend to improve us, but don't actually make us any money or grow into superstars in the long run. Instead of the additions of Daly, Foster, Faure and Simo, a decent scout would have found suitable alternatives at better prices and a better potential sell on value.

These things take time but this has to be our priority (tu)

In general I agree, but question your bit about better prices seeing that we didn't actually pay transfer fees for them.

Maybe no former players have recently become scouts?

We dont need a former player, we just need a scouting network?

A head scout in contact with the manager/chief executive, feeding off a network of scouts.

Why has this not been addressed yet?

I was reading in the daily rebel that the manky mob are giving a trial to some benfica youngster. While were making do with signing up tried and tested players.

It seems like everyone around is building up for the future.

We don't need scouts. just keep mobile numbers of all ex players, wait 3 years and get em back.

After relagation to division 3, the managers priorities should've been;

1. Get through the divisions as quick as possible.

2. Bring through youth, or sign the best 14/15/16 year olds in scotland. With a view of giving them game time ASAP as the embargo banned us from signing players over 17.

3. Going on a cup run.

A scouting system should've been top of the boards list of things to get in place.

You forgot "bring in a footballing culture that allows players to be comfortable on the ball and not just lump it forward".
