Kal Naismith

Recommended Posts

Saw him playing yesterday in Cheltenham vs. Accrington. About his level, to be honest. First thing he did was, after somebody had put a shot wide and it bounced back off the wall, blast it as hard as he could into the crowd behind the goal. He got lucky that the ref didn't see it, but it was the kind of stupidity we came to expect from it.

Then he finished off a scrappy move in the box by slotting it home at the far post from about 6 yards out. Decent finish. Thought that, despite his general ineffectiveness, there was perhaps something there.

Then, in the 93rd minute, Accrington win a penalty. Up steps Naismith to equalise and he looks confident. Strolls up towards the ball and, instead of just putting his foot through it, tries to dink it and sees it fly straight over the bar. Summed up his career thus far in 10 seconds.

I know that some thought that he had talent (although all agreed that his attitude was terrible), but we definitely made the right decision in getting rid of him.

That entire age group at Murray Park was full of arseholes and shite footballers; Naismith, Darren Cole, Hutton, Perry, etc.

This. Every player that "graduated" from Murray Park in that era, are arrogant, nandos wankers. Who think they're all big time celebrities because they're playing (played for) for Rangers. I actually don't think we have any of them left at Rangers, well apart from Hutton, I could be wrong?

He did the same a few years ago at U19 level. Rangers needed to beat Hibs at MP to win the league in the last game of the season...we got a penalty with the last kick of the ball, ex player Ally Park got sent off. Naismith would't give the ball to the usual taker, Kane Hemmings, tried something fancy and put it over the bar, costing us the league.

In short, a bang average player with a huge ego.

Ally did well in getting rid as he was pish...on the right wing. Did we not offer him a new contract then get rid soon after? No wonder we are in a state financial wise.

He's pish anyways, glad we have someone like Gallagher and Aird showing how it can be done.
