There was a lot of positive things about the winter break in january. Players had a chance to rest and come back from injury. Teams could also focus on that January window and move players in and out.

Yes because 1) the pitches get ruined in winter which affects how teams play, 2) scottish teams get papped out of europe by poor Scandinavian teams who are mid-season when we are pre-season (although hopefully this will happen to the mhanks) and 3) watching football on a freezing night just isn't all that much fun, especially over the last few years. We need to try anything to improve the product of our leagues.

Corner the sky market during the summer months as no football on..Russian polish and scandanavian clubs regularly do better than us in Europe yet play Sumner football...players go to the African cup of nations during winter and there is no meltdown. .safe standing summer football is the way forward.
