I would rather Rangers played the long game and waited until January and tried to sign him on a pre contract. It means we can give another player the game experience and save the transfer fee for another target.

Pretty much exactly how I see it playing out.

They can't risk playing him today or afford to have a player with value sitting there doing nothing or playing with the kids.
