The team who we played two of our most famous matches against. Moscow Dynamo, now £150 million in debt,  play to attendances of 7.000 average, and are about to have their famous stadium demolished, and possible demotion to division 3.

Were they the team who's support was made up from the Army back then ?

They were traditionally associated with the police, and the KGB.

CSKA Moscow were the army team still part owned by the ministry of defence. (Abramovich is involved with them too)

Torpedo Moscow were associated with the state car factories.

Lokomotiv Moscow were the railway workers team, and were owned then by the Ministry Of Transport.

Yeah, they were traditionally associated with the police, the military and the KGB, so were effectively the army team.

Torpedo Moscow were associated with the state car factories.

Lokomotiv Moscow were the railway workers team, and were actually owned then by the then Ministry Of Transport.

Wasn't it CSKA that was affiliated to the army, and Dynamo was more the NKVD and KGB?

Anyway, calamitous stuff. Sounds like gross mismanagement at the expense of fans once again.

Oldest club in Russia and never relegated. Terrible stuff.
