BlueSuedeSambas 53,800 Posted January 1, 2017 Share Posted January 1, 2017 Hill's our best defender but at the same time I think players like him - hard working, experienced, honest pros who can do the basics with little fuss - are pretty much ten a penny in England. If we had another player in the Hill mould at the back rather than persisting with guys like Wilson and Kiernan with their lack of conviction and try to play out from the back like they are Franz Beclenbauer mentality then we would be far stronger defensively as a result. Fod and McKay only other 2 players who had good games yesterday. We have to have 11 players performing to get a result. The fact us our squad is simply not strong enough.
