Every year I can remember since I started following Rangers in the late 60s we have always dreamt of reaching that years European final. Some years the dream lasts longer than others. Best one I remember was a simple chant of Glasgow Rangers, Scottish Champions Going to win the European Cup Liverpool, English bastards they can be the runners-up. Never ever heard that one? Probably mid 70s definitely when we had old standing terracing and the singing section was in the covered end at the Copland. Would have to be after 75 as that was the first league we won after I started going to games.
mchammer 245
Been going since 1966, still never heard it. Must have been a supporters bus song? Just can't remember it at all, especially when it says English Bastards? In '75 I satrted my first job which meant working Saturdays so I didn't get to many games then. Just midweek ones. up until the 80's when I got a non Saturday working job.
