We did regularly win the league under him, you’re right. That doesn’t mean we didn’t lose in cups to shite. Every Rangers manager has lost in cups to shite. Every Rangers manager in the future will likely lose some cup games to shite.

You miss the consistently part

Absolutely no time under any manager that i can recall did we lose out on 7 trophies on the bounce (not including the league) and only making 1 final out of they 7

Again you are plucking an argument out of thin air.  No one has said otherwise

folk are simply pointing out there opinion and reason on what they think the underlying reason is behind by our clubs standards , a barren spell of domestic trophies over the last 7 years . Clearly there has been a mentality issue.

Beale now has a golden opportunity to show he is tackling said issue by delivering a trophy we are now overwhelming favourites for and expected to win after results this weekend. Would love nothing more than to be sitting here in December with my opinion massively changed

Managed a whopping one of eight between 03/04 and 06/07, making one final and one other semi-final in those eight and only managing one title in that same period. The Big Eck effect.

A time period which saw two managers ultimately get their jotters for our poor return in trophies and domestic form and loads of criticism of our squads mentality and attitude

The hoops people jump through to try and defend the fact we've lifted two trophies in 12 years is incredible.

Who has defended it? We need to do far better in the cups and league.

If you're countingback to 2011, we've won more than two trophies.

Why are you bringing up seasons from the early 00's as if it has any relevance?

What trophies have we won since 2011?

Wrong

3 of our regular back 4 are still the exact same as 2019

none of our current sqaud has anything to do with early 2000s

So we have a few players left from then. No doubt how Kyle Lafferty or Jon Flanagan did as lots of relevance in 2023.

No relevance at all.

They're not major trophies, anybody counting them needs their head checked.

So it's just 'major' trophies we're counting. Were folk actually mental enough to be expecting us to win 'major' trophies while in Division 3 with Kevin Kyle and Fran Sandaza playing?

You make that sound like it’s squad fillers who are still kicking about

It’s 3 of our regular starting back line with one of them being the captain so it’s understandable why comparisons are made with that time

Six/seven years. League and Scottish Cup in that time isn't great but it's not the first time we've had a spell like this.

Again no one is saying we haven’t

we are allowed to question and debate why it is happening though which by the way is exactly what happened during all these other times

We're on a worse run now compared to the seasons you brought up earlier, funnily enough.

@The Dude “The big eck effect” your trying to have a pop at for some reason was 7 trophies in 4 and a half years , a champions league last 16 and putting a stop to a potential era of Martin O’neils Celtic dominating us all while the clubs financial situation was starting to hinder us

And the club's worst-ever run of results with the odd European embarrassment thrown in.
