maverick1200 2,869
http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...2681067,00.html The Ibrox boss has overseen the departures of striker Filip Sebo on a year-long loan deal to French side Valenciennes and midfielder Ian Murray, who is poised to join Norwich after being released. Despite admitting his player pool is bursting at the seams, Smith is keen to strengthen several positions in his side. Speaking at the club's annual general meeting, Smith said: "We have a squad of 27 players but it is too big to keep everyone happy. "With the under-21 rule in place that means we need to rotate the squad or try to achieve a balance in terms of making sure players get the required number of games. "So having a huge squad of players is not of major benefit to us. "We would obviously like to add one or two players before the end of the transfer window as there are a couple of positions where I feel we are a bit light. To do that we will have to rid ourselves of one or two others. "Sebo and Ian Murray are now gone and a few others may go within the week. Again, that may not be of our making if someone comes along with an offer." Smith was also keen to dispel suggestions made by one shareholder that left-back Steven Smith may struggle to recover from a long-term injury. The Light Blues chief admitted that defender Smith, who turns 22 next week, will not make his comeback from a problematic groin injury until all the medical staff are satisfied. Smith added: "We have been extra careful with him as he has had one or two problems that have plagued him throughout his short career. "He will return to training within the next two or three weeks and we will give him plenty of time to make sure everything settles down. "The specialists, physios and doctors are all extremely upbeat that Steven will rid himself of the problems he has had. "On a personal basis, from what I have seen in the last few weeks I have no doubts he will return." Looks like some others might be on there way!! not sure who though

maverick1200 2,869
i can only think hemdani, burke or possibly buffel. doubt buffel will go though
BlueSuedeSambas 54,397
Certainly Burke, Ehigou and possibly Buffel and Hemdani depending on if we bring in any more players.
Gowser 0
A very interesting 8 days in store. A few shocks? Burke? Buffel? Hmmmmmmmmmm????????? In my opinion, Burke would not be a shock, but Buffel would be. I think once he's back to match fitness, he could fit very well into our new system. Thoughts? CanadianGer 1
would be pleased if Burke left, if only because it might help us with reforming the style of the midfield. As for Buffel, he does cause players trouble but just ends up getting pushed around. Getting him lifting weights with Sebo (or rather taking care of Sebo's weights while he's away)
Gowser 0
And in overall response to this thread, I really wouldn't be surprised to see Hemdani leave. I for one cannot believe he got POTY and don't think he can add anything to the team. I know many disagree, my dad for one who I continously argue with, but I think he is now surplus to requirements. Baileyseye 0
I looked at the Rangers website in the squad section. A look down the list at first team players there is only Burke, Hemdani, Buffel and Papac that you think would go if WS wants to get rid. Hemdani and Buffel would be good for europe, but i would like to see Burke and Papac go once we get a fully fit squad.

Bazza 21
I can only really see Burke being passed on, maybe Papac but only if we have a better replacement lined up.
nvager 498
Really can see Burke definitely a possibility and Buffel. Hemdani a big ? Papac should stay.

Gaffbear 4,104
Think Hemdani,Ugo,Burke and maybe Buffel could all go this week....Shame to lose Brahim and Buffel though. Glad Murray is away he should have taken Adam and Burke wi him. If we get the boy from Portsmouth whose name a canny spell so won't even try then Sasa could be shipped out also.
