Fans' community website Myfootballclub has agreed a deal to take over Blue square premier outfit Ebbesfleet utd.

20,000 Myfootball club memebers paid £35 each to raise £700,000 takeover pot and have an equal share each.

Crackin idea eh.

my question is, does anybody know what sort of percentage 700,000 will buy u at rangers?

im guessing about 2% and im being dead genorous there, any more guesses?

so what is one share? Im so confused, one share isnt one percent is it? bloody stock exchange, u have to be a fecking full scale mathematician for this shit x=y and all that bollocks

There should be fans on the board of every football club imo. They are the life and sole of the club itself.

To have complete control of the club would be a mistake though.

I can see why some people would think the second part. Heart over head and all that....

However, one must remember that just because the fans may own the club that doesn't mean they would necessarily be running it. Whose to say they wouldn't appoint a CEO to do that while we could all live off the profits on a vineyard in France...? ;)

Being serious for a second, fans owning a club the size of Rangers is probably a pipe-dream in many ways but as we see at clubs like Barca and Hamburg the fans can be involved very successfully in the decision-making process.
