DaMarcus Beasley's out for the rest of the season. Badly damaged knee ligaments.

I hope this is not true.

Me too, the wee guys brilliant and for a guy who is skinny as fuck like me, has faired better physically than anyone could have hoped for.

Also, he's about the only attack minded midfielder Walter seems comfortable playing...

Hope hes not out for too long, i think hes a great player for us and was just coming onto a game as well.

Anyone else think that Burke of Buffel might get a chance now?

Heard that Kennedys was a bad one, was taken straight to hospital! Feel sorry for the guy after all hes been through his career will be over if its his knee thats away!

RANGERS fear DaMarcus Beasley is out for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old American midfielder suffered a sickening knee injury during Tuesday's Champions League clash in Stuttgart.

Rangers' mood was black enough after their 3-2 defeat but scans have shown the damage to Beasley's knee to be worse than first thought.

He was crocked in a second-half collision with keeper Raphael Schafer and yesterday's checks revealed his ligaments had been badly damaged.

Manager Walter Smith was given the news that it looks like he will have to do without Beasley for the remainder of the campaign.

Beasley's setback comes just as his form was beginning to improve and his loss will be a serious blow to Rangers' hopes at home and abroad.

But there was better news concerning Lee McCulloch, who was taken off in the first half, also holding a knee.

His problem was easing yesterday and although Rangers expect him to miss Saturday's home match with Kilmarnock, he should be able to train again at the beginning of next week.

McCulloch, though, is refusing to accept his injury could keep him out of action even for one match.

He is determined to prove the Ibrox medics wrong by reporting fit for the Killie game.

Bad news indeed, we are still to see the best from DMB he hasn't quite settled yet IMO.

This injury will set him back badly, I hope he recovers and comes back strongly but all too often I have seen this sort of injury at this stage of a Rangers career result in the player not getting back to what he once was.

What happened to naylor and kennedy? Did they take sore ones?

Naylor was struggling right from the start of the game with what looked like a calf strain. He eventually had to come off after recieving treatment.

Kennedy went up for a header and landed akwardly on one leg, Looked like his knee jarred as his full weight came down on top of it. Seemed to be in a lot of pain and was stretchered off.
