Ted E Bayer 485 Posted January 29, 2008 Share Posted January 29, 2008 Celtic complete double swoop Mizuno and Samaras move to Celtic Park Celtic have completed the double signing of Japanese international midfielder Koki Mizuno and Manchester City striker Georgios Samaras. The highly-rated Mizuno moves to Celtic Park on a three-and-a-half year deal from J-League side JEF United. Meanwhile, Samaras - who has grown frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities at City - has agreed a loan move to Celtic as manager Gordon Strachan bids to bolster his attacking ranks. The capture of Mizuno brings to an end a long transfer struggle for the Bhoys as the 22-year-old's lack of international experience was viewed as a problem in securing a work permit. Mizuno, who has made three appearances for Japan, will now team up with his fellow countyman Shunsuke Nakamura at Celtic. The facts are that contrary to what Walter has been alledgedly trying to do and sign players who will improve the starting 11, these signings arent much better than what they already have. If Hutton goes, we should try and loan a couple of Arsenal's fringe players or something like that?
