Thomson hits back

Well if Samaras doesn't want to concede fouls he shouldn't stick his leg out.

If septic want to take the high moral ground about diving then I will be expecting them to return the 2 points they cheated St Mirren out of at Love Street

ffs, how many times, a dive is when there is just no contact.

Yes, he fell into Samaras, and yes he probably played for it.

But how many times have you seen players leave a trailing leg in, it be taken, and them decked?

It's slightly cynical, but it is NOT diving.

Diving is when there is just no contact and the player still goes down.

I'm sick of Thomson being labelled a diver, even by our own fans.

(tu) spot on

Just watched the highlights a minute ago, first time seeing the Thomson incident on TV.....Dive.

Reminded me of Pires one for Arsenal a few years back - lucky he wasn't off IMO

Pires never got touched.

Larsson and Laudrup got their respective teams plenty of fouls and penalties by 'leaving the leg in', don't recall an uproar then

The Pires one im thinking of is when he left his leg in, basicaly making contact with the defender on purpose - i.e Thomson. What he done is pretty much the same as Larsson used to always do, running across a defender meaning the defender can't avoid contact.

Purposely making contact so you will go down and win a free kick is a dive.simulation to me.
