ara 154
... for all of you that think this is indeed the start of the end for Walter... ..GTF!...he deserves a bit more respect given the self respect he has brought back to the club in such a short space of time... ..he knows his gameplan for the future and the player better than everyone on this site... There are quite a few people that now SEEM TO WANT KM TO FAIL...AND THEY CAN GTF! (by all means say "told you so" after he has a fair crack, but not before given he is now a RANGERS PLAYER!) :angry2:

Amac9 2,060
Your right. It took some balls from him and Miller to join. As Hutton used to say "fortune favours the brave" I will get behind Miller and definitely Walter

BritishBear 34
Thing is though Walter Smith does not learn from his mistakes, this season was like 10 years ago. He made all the same mistakes before in his first spell, at Everton and now here again. The man cannot adapt or change. Miller is what 28, nobody apart from Jesus could change this particular frog into a prince, Walter Smith is no miracle worker, no matter what some people may think. Millers stats are there for everyone to see and only a blind man could fail to see that he is shite. £2 million plus a million a year in wages for that, it's not only stupid, it's insane. To get the most out of Miller we will need attacking box to box midfielders with pace who can score goals, we don't have that and going by experience WS does not buy/want that type of player, so we will have a forward who can't score and a midfield who can't support him or score. WS has put his whole reputation on the line with this signing and as the saying goes, you live by the sword you die by the sword.

Unfortunately 100% correct, WS the manager that only plays GKs and CBs in their proper positions, maybe he has bought miller to replace Hutton, they both have shaven heads. Agreed mate Much in the same way he puts faith in McCulloch as a left winger, a striker, a footballer? Braodfoot as a right back? Davis as a Right winger? Whittaker as either a right midfielder or a left back? Dailly as a right back, central defender, holding midfielder? In Wattie we trust?

Jimenez 1
Do we have an option? No, he has earned the right for another year, but this signing and his bizarre insistence to play players out of position will be what he is judged on. I don't want rid unlike many others right now. But no man is above questioning when it comes to Rangers. As minstral pointed out when things don't go to plan it doesn't matter who is in charge. Smith had the nucleus of a good squad. Two or three quality additions would see us in a great position to make it 52. Signing the mhisser is totally bewildering, and one Smith will have to live by.
