Was also thinking of Broadfoot ahead of Weir which really scares me!!! Weir just looks so slow but his experience is still vital! And would still have Novo and Beasley to bring on for one of the wide players. I normally prefer and shout out for 442 but don't think we have the players for it. Will he still want to dictate the play?? no doubt this will coz outrage played well with the likes of albertz, reyna, de boer, bronkhurst, revelled in it, enjoys playing with people with vision, loved playing with buffel before he got injured was talking about more recently, ok would agree with you re v.bronckhorst but it's been a long time since we've had quality like him in our midfield and i wonder if barry has gotten used to getting his own way. as for the rest: albertz and buffel didn't dictate the play they were more likely to get on the end of a ferguson pass the point is mendes will want to direct some of the play himself, de boer preferred to play off/up with the strikers, for me reyna was best when played on the right, in the middle ferguson was better than him so rightly controlled the play i'm thinking more of when tugay played with fergie, IMO he demanded the ball off tugay too much and as a result i don't think we saw the best of him will be honest tho didn't watch the two of them at blackburn so this is purely from a rangers point of view finally i hope they can play together as he's a great captain and wouldn't want to drop him if it can be avoided Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
