bluenose4life 5
Chris Burke has admitted that it will be difficult to regain his place in the Rangers side. The winger has been sidelined for the last six months with an ankle problem but is almost back to full fitness after making a number of appearances for the reserves. However, he is not expecting to walk straight back into the Gers team after manager Walter Smith bolstered his squad over the summer. "Competition here is immense just now. Our squad is very big and there is a lot of talent throughout," said the 24-year-old. "It will be very difficult for me to get involved again because it's not just one or two players battling for places." Happy Burke is nevertheless relishing the challenge and is staying focused for now on getting into the right condition. "There are three or four all going for the same spots all over the park and that means that if you're playing, you have to make the most of it. "I'm happy with the way things are going for me just now and hopefully that continues to be the case when I'm fully fit and if I get my chance. Burke added: "Things are going well for me in the reserves and I'm very happy with the progress I'm making. "My injury feels a lot better and it is good that my ankle is more stable now and close to 100 per cent again. "It can only improve with more games and the most important thing at the moment is for me to continue building up my fitness and getting that back. "The more I play, the more that will happen." Burke, who has made two appearances for Scotland, admits he will be looking on in envy when several of his team-mates take to the field against Norway at Hampden Park on Saturday. But he concedes it is far too early to start thinking about an international recall, adding: "A few of my team-mates are away with Scotland this week and it is a great honour to play for your country. "But my aim first and foremost is to get back into the Rangers team and that's what I need to be thinking about." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11788_4262660,00.html Part of me thinks he will come back alot better than he was - but if he doesnt play good, then
FlippinEck 3,730
Your telling burke to jog on yet wanted to bring rob jones to the club granted burke has had plenty of chances, but on his day, is one of the most creative players at the club and at his very top game, has more to him than the likes of an aiden mcgeady, imo. He just doesnt produce it enough, I wouldnt be sad if he left but I certainly wouldnt like to see him mis-treated.

Jimenez 1
Burke is simply not good enough. Wrong. Burke is good enough and on occasion has proved to be so. Sadly nowhere near enough though. Injuries have plagued his time here but too often when fit he doesn't show the desire needed. I'd have loved to have had him in the team on Sunday rather than Adam. Gazzas_Flute 11
At top form , he was a good player. Never really recovered from his injuries and has gained this reputation as a " shitebag "
Scott-RFC 308
Mcgeady on a quiet day is as good as burke at the top of his game imo, big gulf in ability. Burke is a bit of pansy and one of the most frustrating players in the game He certainly has talent but hes not developed anywhere near well enough, injuries havent helped
