Muff 245
Or maybe Wally has gone with what he thinks will be more effective - no Kris Boyd. He's shown at Pittodrie, v celtc, Fir Park, Tynecastle and 60 odd minutes at Tannadice, that he's not really suited to these type of games.

We know Boyd is not really suited to the one man up, but with Fleck and Davis having more freedom to get forward(the idea behind playing McCulloch), then you dont need your front man being over mobile. Just playing devils advocate here as im 100% on the fence with Boyd. I dont have any strong feeling, either way on him for some reason.

Tats more likely, problem is, it was shown today to be not the case. Perhaps its the TEAM rather than Boyd that cant cope with these games? The result was still the same, we didnt win
TMWWBK 0
Lets all conveniently ignore the fact that Boyd was like a 12th man for Aberdeen in the 30 minutes that he played..
McBoyd 355
Lets all conveniently ignore the fact that Boyd was like a 12th man for Aberdeen in the 30 minutes that he played.. Boyd can't play that role, why the hell Walter took off Miller to put Boyd there is beyond me, more sensible would have been moving to a 442 and bringing Boyd on, or not bringing him on, he may as well left Miller there. Although we had more of a chance at goal when Novo and Boyd came on in fairness.
FlippinEck 3,705
boyd did nothing wrong when he came on, won headers, linked up, and that resulted in our players getting forward more

TheRedThreat 0
Boyd and Novo coming on was the only thing that kept us in the hunt. Not playing him from the start is the sort of defeatist attitude towards goal scoring that I have become used to expecting from WS. A guy is in form, GOALSCORING form, and is relegated to merely an afterthought on the basis of 'well, he hasn't scored well at this ground before'. Ridiculous. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: if you don't give Boyd experience in big games against quality defenders, then he is unlikely to score. He should have been on from the start
