PS when your sons stands up to deliver or writes this "apology" perhaps you should get him to start off with...

"Before I apologise may I just point out...theres a lot worse things than fiddling the taxman"

Sorry, I dont get that? The school places a great emphasis on the virtues of charity so I thought he should open with Rangers charitable donations over the years.

I thought it best, given Rangers present predicament, that the subject of tax was avoided until the apology part?

Do you really think he should lead on tax? Get it out the way so to speak?

If he opens with Rangers charitable donations over the years...I do hope its at least 30 minute talk he is giving.

Perhaps you get some of the vets from Erskine to come along as well so they could give a testimony as to how those doantions have helped them.

Ok Thanks! some good things above some not so. They dont tolerate any sectarian nonsense so no problem in that regard. His teacher's a Rangers fan but he never gets kept back so nothing to worry about... at least I hope not!

But they tolerate discriminatory employment practices

Ask the head teacher if he will do a presentation on all the heads of department in his school who are non RC's

That should be quite short

Then he can write a letter apologising to all the capable non RC teachers who are being denied employment opportunities in state funded schools because of sectarian dogma

All in the interest of balance of course

I just wanted to know about some of the less well obvious good things Rangers have done for my son's project. Thanks to those above that contributed positively.

Quite frankly I'm shocked and disappointed by some of the other remarks.

Oh well, at least I'll have some new gossip for the ladies at the coffee morning!

It amazes me that people like you have such sad lives that you have to come trolling on a Rangers forum to try and make yourself feel better, why would any normal human being feel the need to come on here to try and wind people up I will never know, its pretty sad really but its expected of people like you, you have no real life, you have no friends and you probably dont have a boyfriend or girlfriend either, your too busy wanking over other peoples misery to enjoy the normal things in life.

I do pity you though as it must be a terrible life being a Catholic, all that bile and hatred seething because you were born into an underclass, parents beating and abusing you before letting the Catholic priest had his turn, the guilt that you must share now with the rest of your community, never able to tell because that would be a sin, what a horrible life, no proper job, drinking meths in the park with the rest of the tramps, your only solace to come onto a Rangers forum and try and make yourself feel better.

Do you know what ? we dont care about your kind because we are and always will be better than you, we are Rangers first and foremost and we are British and proud, no matter what league we end up in we will fill our stadium and show the rest of Scotland what real fans do, so take your letter an take your stupidity and go fall off the Erskine bridge, that will give us all something to cheer us up.

This is my first post but i had to reply. I find it unbelievable as a fellow Mother!!!! that you would actually let your Son continue with this project at an RC School in this the current situation. Obviously, he seems to be very distressed at the response he has received regarding it. Do you want to put him through more stress!!!! Do your son a big favour and encourage him in the meantime to move on to another project. When his team move on to bigger and better in the future he could do a project on them then.

Nice peace man. Your boy can be proud to be a Rangers fan as each weekend he's went with his granadad the Club Rangers has gave him much joy.

That's the good Rangers have done. Your sons spent years with his Papa at games because of Rangers. He's seen Rangers win titles etc and been overjoyed by it.

That's the good Rangers have done, our love for the Club will never die.

Maybe he could do a project on Crimen Sollicitationis and the role of the current pontiff in facilitating the abuse of children on a global scale.

Father Tom Doyle could help him with his research.

Father Tom Doyle is a canon lawyer. He had a diplomatic career with the Vatican but was sacked after he criticised the church's handling of child abuse. He gives this interpretation of Crimen Sollicitationis in the Panorama film.

"Crimen solicitationis is indicative of a worldwide policy of absolute secrecy and control of all cases of sexual abuse by the clergy.

But what you really have here is an explicit written policy to cover up cases of child sexual abuse by the clergy to punish those who would call attention to these crimes by the churchmen.

You've got a written policy that says that the Vatican will control these situations and you also have I think clear written evidence of the fact that all they are concerned about is containing and controlling the problem.

Nowhere in any of these documents does it say anything about helping the victims.

The only thing it does is say that they can impose fear on the victims and punish the victims for discussing or disclosing what happened to them.

It's all controlled by the Vatican and at the top of the Vatican is the Pope so Joseph Ratzinger was in the middle of this for most of the years that Crimens was enforced he created the successor to Crimen and now he is the Pope this all says that the policy and systematic approach has not changed.

Cardinal Ratzinger, now as Pope, could tomorrow get up and say: 'Here's the policy: full disclosure to the civil authorities, absolute isolation and dismissal of any accused and proven and convicted clerics, complete openness and transparency, complete openness of all financial situations, stop all barriers to the legal process and completely co-operate with the civil authorities everywhere.'

He could do that."

This is one of the most ludicrous threads I've ever read.

Frankly, I'd have far more respect if you just gave us the stick you know you want to and then fucked off.

To pretend to be a mother is rather odd and desperately desperately sad.

I'd imagine you'll be hitting the chat rooms soon as this mother character too eh? The closet door is just over there sweetheart, time to get out...

Of course I dont want him to go through more stress. There are other Rangers supporters and even more Aberdeen supporters in attendance at this school so he wont be on his own.

His mind was made up long ago on this and it's surely a good thing he stands up for what he believes in.
