  1. Hence 2nd is the target, frankly, we should have done it last season with what we had.
  2. No chance of winning the league. 2nd is the aim of the board and will be seen as a successful outcome to the plan by them. We should be able to reach a cup final and providing we're not playing them across the city along the way then we might win one i.e. League Cup. To genuinely challenge we would need 5-6 players on an upgrade to what we have with several of them being of the ilk that boss a game nearly every week.
  3. To me it's like someone else other than the manager is making them, they seem to follow a similar pattern as you say. Experienced player whose at the very end of the career. No mark loans. Guy that's went off the rails. Scottish players you can't see improving us or being more than squad filler. Potential players that may or may not develop into something but aren't ready for the job being asked.
  4. I'd swap him for Wesley Snipes's character in Demolition Man.
  5. Morelos and Herrera are players that to me will need quick service if we're to have any hope of them coming good and at best we have Pena/Kranjcar in terms of creation at this point (simply nowhere near enough). Candeias has hit the odd cross but we need left/right and through the middle of a much better standard than what we have.
  6. Him and Ryan Jack are to me the kind of signings which give me the fear because I honestly don't see how they are good enough to do what is required for us.
  7. Bang on the money. Kranjcar/Pena is what we have in terms of creation and one is prone to injury and won't play more than 25 games this season, the other is an alkie looking to reignite his career. It's simply not enough of a midfield to create chances and get us goals with every team we play falling back to two-rows-of-5 by the time we get the ball into the opposition half. Candeias looks like he may have a cross in him but frankly we need some phsyical types that can run on the ball or hit quick through balls/crosses because even if Morelos steps up and contributes and Herrara punches above his weight we still won't score regularly without a vast improvement in how we attack and that won't come from the players we have.
  8. Frankly, that's about the only chance we have of getting rid of some of these before their contracts expire.
  9. Rossiter says all the right things but where is his angry disappointment behind the words. I don't see it just like I don't see the fight/desire on the pitch from the team. Maybe that's how he is and I'm being harsh but does he speak and look like someone who is angry, upset and embarrassed and distracted from speaking because of the emotions? I've been more visibly angry, upset and disappointed over finding out I've nae fags left.
  10. Being holed up in a hotel will suit our squad down to the ground, if there's one thing they're good at it's hiding!
  11. Who are we crossing to? Seriously, who do we have that can beat a CB to head home? Now obviously I don't mean that's the only way you can get on the end of a cross but having watched us for the last few years Herrera better be some player if we're to make use of wingers. Pena (assuming he isnae just going to continue being an alkie and fuck off back to mexico after 2 months) and Dorrans will help in terms of opportunity but it's bizarre how similar Warburton/Pedro are. Both in terms of what signings we make, teams we play, tactics/subs, etc.etc, final 1/3 we're a disaster and defensively we ship goals like St Mirren. I look at our signings and while they will help it's evident just how thin the ability is in our team, and in terms of going for a title in a few years you have to be honest and say that none of them are capable, that's how bad they are. Now that last statement isn't based on tonight, it's based on how bad we've been in the worst Scottish league I can remember, and if we're rank in an unusually bad Scottish league then you gain a perspective of just how far we're off getting back to the place many of us expect to reach.
  12. The leadership at this club is either clueless or leading us on as they carry out a plan that suits them. How much has been spent on singings and wages since the board came in and what parts of it are up to scratch? Remember to factor in what the competition (we've been bang in line with) have spent (Aberdeen/St Johnstone). We might get 2nd this season having spent how many times what Aberdeen did to get it on our 'going for 55' season? When the manager was brought in we all said "Who?". I won't be laying blame at Pedro's door because he is merely a symptom of the disease but he should be gone tomorrow and anything less is confirmation that we've neither the money nor ability to do anything bar watch the wheels come off again and try and sell it as a success to the fans whose money has once again been spunked on absolute garbage that disgraces this club.
  13. My view when Pedro came in is that he's another yes man to bullshit the fans for a period to bide time for the powers in charge to make a genuine go of something down the line. I could go into one and explain in depth as to what I think and why but frankly if people can't see it then an article from me won't change it, we're a fucking joke and the fans are being mugged. This result should see a protest outside Ibrox tonight because even with the new players coming in we'll be fighting it out for 2nd at best having spunked 7 or 8 times as much on doing at as Aberdeen.
  14. You've went and did it again. Superb info, not sure the next will deliver as I think this one may set up for a fall but crucially a big price winner at UTT as informed! Take my likes and a bow you living profit machine!
  15. Noted mate but you've already served me well, so thank you regardless of how this info pans out! I put yours in a couple of trebles for the 3.30 at Utt, if Berau Boru or Southfield Vic do anything at all then I get another wee top up! (neither of which were picked for any reason other than stranger things have happened, not tips or anything remotely sound, just a dart at the wall)
  16. This would have been nice but got fucked at the start - don't worry though, Portugal sticking to the plan has seen me ok with your tip in other lines! ;)
  17. We've got a solid three for this trip if we win it. .......one more poor fuck oblivious to the realities of what he is letting himself in for.
  18. Aye cause yie want a selfie for yer wall collage.
  19. Michael's deid, Boy George is the one that chains rent boys to radiators and beats them wie dug leads.
  20. You'd sack the racing and go purely for George so don't gies it!
  21. He's dead to me and his current clubs fans say he's done. If he swans back into us we may as well just say "we're going to try and beat the mighty Aberdeen and St Johnstone to 2nd". Whether or not he can do a job is besides the point - we shouldn't have to take him on, we should be going for it with his status being "that ship has sailed". It would be a damning indictment of our position and direction to take him on, wee mincer would no doubt return to being glass for us warming up the physio table for Kranjcar for when he breaks after 20-odd games.
  22. I saw Limmasol a couple of times last season and they were like us in the sense of they can pass it about but they threatened fuck all. The mob we're playing are training dummies and if we can't put distance between ourselves and them in the second leg then perhaps it'll be trickier against Limmasol than it should be. Assuming we improve in the next and for the next tie we have new players in the first 11 then I think it'll be a narrow victory over well organised but ultimately lacking in talent side.
