I believe that they are trying but it's getting to the stage where the continued cover up will be impossible, what normally happens then is the rats start attacking each other. 

"Section 5 of the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 creates a statutory duty to report any suspicions of child abuse i.e. a duty to do what is reasonable in all the circumstances to safeguard the child's health, development and welfare. Failure to report concerns, turning a blind eye or failing to protect a child may result in legal action."

What SFA has stated in there own regulations is very clear.

The current sfa board members don't fill me with confidence that justice will finally prevail either but something has to give.

To me for justice to prevail parkhead should be knocked down in the same manner as a serial killers house is. They should have to sell there assets to withhold £100million for victims and be banned for football for atleast 5 years. That to me should be a minimum. If it will happen is another matter altogether but the abused children must be allowed to see justice.

The guy that said probably the most horrific statement ever uttered in connection to Scottish football (the dressing room was like a orgy) is at court and, nothing. He was at court right? I did read that in advance of yesterday?

Thanks, was wondering why there was a lack of reporting after his supposedly 16th jan court case. 

Hopefully this delay has something to do with the scum allowing him free reign to abuse the children after allowing him to leave on his own accord. Another peado protected by scum fc.

NPCC: Number of football 'child sex abuse' claims tops 1,000 but referrals 'slowing'

Another 100 football clubs have been implicated in the child sexual abuse scandal in the past four weeks – bringing the total to 248.

Reports passed to Operation Hydrant from the NSPCC's dedicated football hotline and from forces around the country have broken the 1,000 barrier, since setting up in December.

Those referrals alone has risen by almost a quarter – from 819 – since just before Christmas, according to figures released by the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC).

The total number of potential victims now stands at 526, of whom 98 per cent are male – with an age range from four to 20.

Coaches, some with links to Chelsea, Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Celtic, are among 184 suspects.

But Chief Constable Simon Bailey, the NPCC lead for child protection, says Hydrant is beginning to see a decrease in the number of referrals being received via the NSPCC helpline and directly to forces relating to allegations of abuse within football, and other sports.

He added: "Allegations of non-recent child sexual abuse are complex, and often require specialist skills and knowledge, and can take time to progress. However, all allegations and information received by police forces across the country are being acted upon.

"We continue to urge anyone who may have been a victim of child sexual abuse to report it by dialling 101, or contacting the dedicated NSPCC helpline, regardless of how long ago the abuse may have taken place.

"We will listen and treat all reports sensitively and seriously. Anyone with any information regarding child sexual abuse is also urged to come forward.

"When allegations are reported it enables police to assess whether there are current safeguarding risks and ensure that appropriate action is being taken to prevent children being abused today."

Funded by the Football Association, the NSPCC hotline was set up in early December and is available 24 hours a day on 0800 023 2642. The FA has also instigated an independent review, led by Clive Sheldon QC, into its handling of abuse allegations in the years prior to 2005.

Responding to the latest football-related figures from Hydrant, an NSPCC spokesperson said: "It's clear that for far too long, hundreds of people who suffered abuse as youngsters in the game have not been able to speak up.

"But it is encouraging that so many are finally finding their voice in a climate today where they know they will be listened to and supported.

"What's important now is that those victims get that much-needed support, and that perpetrators are identified and brought to justice by police.

"Anyone can contact our dedicated football abuse helpline in confidence and we will get them the help they need."

How many innocent children wouldn't of been abused if Celtic did act according to there statutory and moral duty back in 1996.
