Yes, if it's not too much hassle.

During the 10 year period of the EBT scheme the average annual figures were approximately as follows:

Wages/salaries  £23.21 million

Tax   £9 million (based on PAYE on the above figure)

NIC  £2.53 million

EBT payments £4.76 million

The tax saved by the employees by use of the EBT scheme was  £1.91 million plus NIC savings of £0.52 million.

On average actual payments to HMRC amounted to £11.53 million per annum.

The way this EBT scheme has been portrayed in the media the impression given is that the players didn't pay a penny in tax and that the amount that HMRC should have received was the £47.6 million.  That impression is deliberate by the media in attacking Rangers.  Nowhere has it been pointed out that the figure claimed by HMRC would only have been approximately £24.3 million over the 10 year period.  What made the bill so much dearer is the addition of compound interest and penalties imposed by HMRC.

Thank you and as you say, anything to sell newspapers and if it damages the Rangers brand into the bargain then the haters and bigots have won a watch.

I agree, I see DK as being like Marmite 'you either love him or hate him' vigilance is needed on any board who sit especially after SDM but instead of squabbling amongst ourselves we should leave it to the AGM vote. Priority should be given to being vigilant now in the aftermath of the BTC. These clubs that are agitating for title stripping should make sure their own houses are in order as they too may be subject to title stripping demands. I would like to know more about the investigation the DR did in 2016 on CFC

Exactly, if you ask the tims what do you want from Rangers they would say squabbling among themselves because that makes it easier and unfortunately too many of us oblige.

I suppose you could look at us "squabbling" amongst ourselves as a good thing, as it shows we have our own minds.

Unlike the unwashed who follow a party line whether they agree or not. Too afraid to stand up and say it is wrong.

Then again, too many of them are halfwits to have a mind of their own.
