Can't wait - if Craig Thomson can't work out a decision in one of our games,  John Beaton might be sitting in front of the TVs waiting to help! What could possibly go wrong?

VAR is a good idea that naybe hasn't been done right just now.

I don't want to see it take over the game, but used correctly it could stamp out a lot of cheating and what. Perhaps give managers 1x challenge per match to overturn a referees decision (can only be used when play is stopped) - and allow referees to review big decisions.

Also, we are probably at a point, technologically speaking, where we could assist linesmen a lot more, with ball and player tracking to help offside calls. Technically speaking, if you can keep track of the exact location of all 22 players and the ball, it shouldn't be that difficult to write a program to work out offsides.

Such technology would also be terrific for stat gathering and tactical analysis.
