Will be hard to get anyone decent in January unless we get a good loan but I'm sure Gerrard will look to improve this position, decent finishing and we could be sitting here with a Cup. tannerall 25,935 Posted January 5, 2020 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Another really big name striker would be a big wind up to cellic, and generate more excitement, but I expect Gerrard will prefer to keep faith and loyalty with what he has so far, not wanting to upset the balance. Saying that, a good experienced attacking midfielder and a decent experienced striker in on 6 month contracts who are keen to get silverware and extended contract would be good. Pretty evident considering the number and nature of the chances he has missed in those specific games, over the course of 2 and a half seasons.
