Think we should have another referendum...

Do you want rid of the Scottish parliment and its devolved powers returned to Westminster, Yes or no?

Hollyrood should never have been built in the first place.  They spent about a hundred million and the arseholes do nothing. I read they passed 4 bills in total last year.  Sitting in there, on £80k/year, debating weather or not they should hang out the EU flag.  They forget over a million Scots voted in favour of Brexit.  It’s become a Republican shitehole.

They built some nice homeless flats with views of the casino though

These come at a price. Over 14,000 scots kids didnt get a University place last year despite being academically capable because the Universities have increased their quotas of overseas and English students as they pay fees and it is the only way they can stay financially viable.

College and University qualifications are being devalued.  These days the campuses get money for putting bums on seats.  I did a HND with people who could barely speak English let alone write it.  It’s become a money making exercise.

I don't disagree. We are going down the USA route. I am retired now, but when employed was involved in our graduate recruitment programme each year and over the years I saw the standards drop. We now have to look at what University the applicant went to and what "quality" of degree they did. This is what I mean by going the USA route, where the "school" (as they call it) you went to is more important than just having a degree as a high percentage of young people are graduates.

Been like that for years throughout the Uk mate, my mum took an high up administration job with a university in London and left after 6 months as it was literally a farce, overseas nationals paying high end premium for a fictional degree and entitlement to enter the country. That was around 2001 I’m sure.

When I was at secondary school I has the chance to do a trade with GCC and turned it down.  I don’t as told College and University was the better option.  Big fucking mistake.  I would swap my degree for a trade anyway.

I agree with your point about the USA.  What’s the point of leaving University £200k in debt and spending most of your adult life paying it off?  It’s madness.  Education over there really is a business.  Selling the masses pieces of paper for a lifetime worth of debt.

Spot on mate, I didn’t fancy going straight into full time education from school so ended up doing a roofing apprenticeship, from that and seeing what my pals were earning fitting double glazing got out of that after gaining my city and guilds and became a joiner instead, earned while learned and it’s no given me a bad life to be fair. Saying that I left school in 1990 and lived in south east England so at that time you could literally walk out of one job, go to the pub for a pint and have a start for the next day. Different world now for cunts starting off

Aye , it's that extra tax we pay compared to everyone else in the country . Nearly £2000 in some cases .

The cunts that vote religiously for these treasonous bastards honestly can’t figure that out, or don’t care, but ultimately the permanently unemployed have no interest how much tax anycunt else pays and is happy to accept its Westminster’s fault. I seriously dread to even imagine just what state Scotland would become if independence was won. Unrecognisable within a year

The modern apprenticeships are a good option for school leavers now, they get paid to get SVQ/NC/HNC and even university if they are capable. I wish I had that opportunity at 17yo, so ended up at university studying Electronic Engineering, Physics and Mathematics. Really enjoyed it, so  don't regret it but when it came to applying for jobs it would have been good to have some industry experience as well as a degree.

I will always say that if you are going to uni straight from school, make sure it is a valuable degree such as STEM/Computing. Don't bother with wishy washy Social Sciences or Arts/Media - the competition for jobs in those sectors are fierce and starting pay is dreadful.

I don't understand them either .

To be fair , the opposition parties don't do enough imo . For example ,  only last year I read that just under 94%  of Scotland qualified for free prescriptions before it was made free to everyone . Why weren't the opposition parties making that point instead of allowing the snp  the vote winner they turned this into .

100% agree mate, it’s heartbreaking not having a truly viable option to solidify the vote here, they gain massively because everyone else is so fractured in their options. We need a strong party to really give an alternative to seriously have a chance of putting them out of power. Sadly I can’t see it happening any time soon if at all.

Yeah mate I completely understand that, I was just lucky at the time I left school and where I was I had pretty much unlimited options.
it’s no just school leavers that make crazy degree choices, a friend of ours is 2 years in to a degree in ancient Egyptology, I’m sure it’s a fascinating course but at 44 what the fuck options is it going to present you once it’s finished?

Yep , and sadly the unionist vote is split three ways which doesn't help .

No idea what the answer is but it’ll stay fucked until something drastic changes. I still believe wholeheartedly that even if they cunts somehow are granted another referendum that those of our persuasion that don’t bother to vote in normal elections would come out in force like before. It still baffles me that a party can be so hell bent on just one agenda, purely based on hatred without a moment’s thought for the consequences of the whole country can have the support it’s actually got. They have literally made an absolute cunt of every devolved power granted whilst as a country within a union getting more out than we put in, and it’s members in power openly attack the majorities religion and way of life yet hold the ultimate power. And we have Protestant Rangers supporters vote for these republican treasonous bastards, and I’ll never, never be able to understand that

I agree , I think if there were to be another referendum we'd win it . A bit like Brexit , where all the attention was on Remain and the perception was they were in the ascendancy except . . . . . when there was any vote and the silent majority spoke .

I actually don't think there will be another one , at least for a while . BJ seems pretty solid on that , and with the state of Zlabour just now it wouldn't surprise me if he got a couple of terms .

Our best chance , I think , will be at next years Holyrood elections . We don't have to win it , but surely with the snp's record in government , it isn't outside the realms of possibility to stop an overall majority against the snp and greens .
