It might not have worked out in the end but it's pretty pathetic to call Gio a cunt. A great player for us, won our first Scottish Cup in over a decade and gave us the best Ibrox night of our lives. He's done absolutely nothing to warrant that abuse.

If it is Michael Beale I'll absolutely support him and wish him all the best. He clearly has an attachment to the club and is a highly-regarded coach. Even if he proves to be a roaring success, though, this is further evidence of the lack of imagination of our board. Just like Gio last year, they've went with the lazy, easy option instead of conducting a thorough search.

Please not Dyche. He's a good manager for a defensive team that's trying to punch upwards, but he's not shown any indication of being able to play football on the frontfoot or handle the expectation of winning. I don't want to want turgid Brexit football.

I'd go for Hassenhuttl. It's petered out for him at Southampton but, for the vast majority of his time there, he's had next to no investment in the squad.He also did a great job at Ingolstadt and did pretty well with Leipzig. His football is exciting and he's not afraid to play and develop youth players. The fact of the matter is, we're not going to get a manager that ticks all the boxes. I think Hassenhuttl ticks enough and he'd be a definite upgrade over what we have now.

Legitimately one of the worst substitute performances I can remember seeing. Looks an absolutely awful player and he doesn’t even seem to have pace, which you’d at least expect given he was supposedly the quickest player at Man City. Unsure if he was hooked for an injury or for poor performance but if it’s the latter he can have no complaints. Ross Wilson’s buying record is looking increasingly poor with each passing game.

Obviously an incredibly stupid thing to post but I don’t think he should have lost his job. He’s not directly involved in the football side of things, didn’t post anything offensive, was off duty and attending as a fan. I don’t think him supporting Liverpool inhibits his ability to do the job. I just can’t bring it myself to celebrate someone losing their job, particularly in this current economic climate. A stern word in the ear and a public apology would have been sufficient.

If he ends up getting canned by Southampton I’d take Hassenhuttl in a heartbeat. Likes to play good football and has done well at Southampton with pretty minimal investment compared to other clubs.

Davis has no business playing in a game like this. His legs are completely gone and he can’t keep up with the pace of it.

You could replace Tillman with a more "disciplined" player like Jack/Kamara/Arfield/Davies. Kent can also drop in when we're out of possession making it a midfield three with Morelos dropping back a line, leaving Colak on the CB's shoulder. I don't necessarily expect it to happen but it seems mad not to at least look at ways to get our two most potent attacking weapons into the team, especially when we're far better than the majority of the teams we play and will often be up against teams that sit in.

Whilst Colak's goal scoring form is making him basically undroppable, it's clear that a fully-fit and firing Morelos offers us more in terms of his all-round game. With Morelos hopefully getting back to his best, is there a chance that Gio looks at playing them together? Either a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3. Something like: McGregor Goldson Sands Davies Tav Borna Lundstram Tilman Kent Morelos Colak It'd allow Kent to float about as a free man, Borna and Tav to get forward and all three of our centre halves are players who have the ability to step out of the backline with the ball at their feet.

Very good performance. I’d have liked to see us put our foot down a bit more once Hearts went down to 10 men but overall you can’t have any complaints with a 4-0 win at Tynecastle. Hopefully we can build on this and take a positive performance into the Liverpool game.

Sad to see that Gio is treating Tillman the same way he did Amad last year. A young, inexperienced player who has a bad game then doesn’t get a look in despite being far more talented than the other options. There’s no way on earth Davis or Arfield should be ahead of him.
