  1. Wattie has one he just doesn't play him. Remember how well Buffel played when he played in the middle behind Lovenkrands? Buffel set up a number of goals. I know a number of you don't rate him but he too should be given a chance. Until I see more of Gow, still think Buffel is the most creative midfielder on the club.
  2. I'll be watching at my Gers Supporters Club. They'd better win--I hate getting up around 6am only to watch them tie or lose! C'mon Gers thump Thistle!
  3. I recall reading that Gow was more of a setup man than an out and out striker. So i'm in favour of him playing off to the left or right of Boyd and seeing what the two can do together. I liked the idea of playing the speedsters together and wouldn't mind seeing Walter try it sometime. See if they're tough enough; how productive they are; and how tired they make the opposition!
  4. I agree with Disgruntled Bear and Polar Bear give Sebo a few starts before slating him. Playing 5-10 minutes the odd match is not enough time for a footballer to show his stuff. If after a few starts (3-4) in a row he doesn't impress then I agree bench him or sell him.
  5. I loved the pic of the crying celtic supporter being escorted by the police! Guess that was taken after a Ranger drubbing of his lot!
  6. Agreed. He has a good touch, and likes getting a yard on a defender to get a shot in. Also, on a unrelated note... why do most of the people I disagree with type how they speak? Touche, Stardog!
  7. Am I right in saying that neither Stevie Smith or Chris Burke have never been on Celtics books at any points in their careers? I heard that Burkey was on Celtic's books prior to becoming a Ger.
  8. Ok. I'm not in the Rockies. Looking forward to the 31st!
  9. I really enjoyed watching the 4-0 thrashing of Celtic, at Ibrox, not sure what year it was but Albertz scored twice, Kanchelskis scored and Gio scored on a great drive from the 18. The Gers under Advocaat, for that game anyway, totally dominated Celtic. Loved watching the passing along the ground and the determination of the 11 in Light Blue who fought hard and stole the ball right off their opponents' feet several times. Long for watching the Gers play like that again!
  10. No one replied to part two of the post. What do you think of part two (is he really a Gers nut and is this a standard line given by every British born Ranger signing?)?
  11. Was really surprised Gers signed Roy Carroll! How much do you think he'll play? Had anyone heard he was a Gers supporter? According to the beeb he said he's never made a secret of him being a Gers supporter! But is this just a stand pat answer given by any British born signing the club makes?
  12. RE: Fletcher. I heard that Gers tried to get him as a youngster but couldn't match Man Utd's offer. I thought he was a Gers supporter.
  13. So who's lying--Scott Brown said he didn't receive an offer from Rangers and Smith now says Scott Brown was the only player to reject an offer from RFC. One reason Naismith would be a good addition is that he's already played with Boyd so it wouldn't take them long to gel unlike Darcheville or any other striker they may sign/buy.
  14. I haven't watched him play too much but he scored a cracker at Craven Cottage on Easter Monday. On that goal he showed his pace and fired a rocket into the far corner from outside the 18. His pace would be a bonus. Bet he, Darcheville and Nacho could run Celtic and the rest of the SPL ragged!
  15. I read somewhere that he likes to shoot from outside the 18 too. I'm wondering how the Gaffer's going to get all these midfielders in matches. Yes, they'll have a few more with the CL but for players to improve and get used to each other they need a string of games in a row.
  16. I agree with some of the other posters, Sebo just needs time on the pitch. He hasn't been given a decent chance to prove himself this season. Let him get in a few games in a row next season and if he doesn't produce the goods then sell him or release him at the end of the season.
  17. Aye Capucho didn't look too good. Did he get to play enough to make a good impression? WE were talking about Italian signings but remember that Capucho is Portugese. Who's the lassie?
  18. That's a bit harsh. Novo was outstanding against Septic. Looks to me like he gives 110% every match and if he was played in the middle he'd score more. I also think that Murray, while not the most talented player, also gives 110% every match. For me the jury's still out on Thomson. Let's see how he does next season.
  19. I think the days of Gers raiding EPL teams for talent are long gone.
  20. Weren't Gers linked to Forsell a couple or three off seasons ago?
  21. Ted 1 B, I too wonder where Brown'll play if the Gaffer signs him (or if he's already signed). Adam's great at the free kicks, but the rest of his game is so so to me. Who would take free kicks if Adam was sold or sat on the bench? Since I haven't watched Brown week in and week out I hesitate to say whether he'd be a good buy or not. If he does sign on, hope he improves the team (I agree with the other poster who says Gers need a midfielder who'll go hard and tackle hard the whole game, although I think bazza's played much better in the last while).
  22. RE: your kaka quotes at the bottom. I've read he's a proddy!
