I am disappointed, although not surprised, that Walter decided to play so defensively against an inferior team. Hence why Davis had no one to pass to when he made his runs up the field. Gers should've kept pressing after going up a goal. Perhaps it was a mistake to take Miller off. What are the chances the game in Inverness will actually be played this Saturday?! The defending was poor again and you could see their goal coming. Glad the club got at least a point but they really should've earned three against Bursaspor.

I voted for Eremenko. But I do like what I've seen of Gomis. I'm sure I recently read that Dundee United are in financial trouble and their big wage earners may be sold or punted. If that's the case maybe with new ownership Gers could buy Gomis.

I agree. Likely wouldn't win Europa League, and I'd rather Gers win the SPL and stop Celtic from getting money from Europe next season!

I agree with DocSpider! Gers haven't produced a free kick specialist since Nando (yes Adam was good at them with the Reserves but he didn't get much of a chance taking them with the first team, as far as I recall). I pitty the sheep though as I'm sure the lads will come through with a great peformance following today's loss!

Although, they aren't having a great season, a weak Man Utd side is still a pretty strong side! And I'm not a Man Utd supporter. I too hope they are through by the time they visit Ibrox but I suspect they'll still give Gers a tough match.

i agree there needs to be more creativity from the midfield. Naismith has played really well out on the right but someone else needs to step up. I also agree with another poster who stated that Edu and McCulloch shouldn't be playing at the same time. I'm not sure if Hutton is up to the task but perhaps its time to let him have a go. Perhaps next weekend.

I don't know how we can be so harsh about Webster since he's hardly had a game with Gers. I still feel he should spell Weir from time to time and see what he can do. If Gers swap him for Gomis, who does Gomis replace in the midfield? I agree we could use more creativity in the midfield and Gomis should add that.

I thought he'd been shite before his first goal. The own goal was unlucky but what else do you expect journalists to say or write?! Great for the fans to cheer on Edu after his own goal and the guy is no dummy so of course he's going to say Best Fans in the World?! I do agree he intercepted a number of passes but he also made a few terrible plays (the last slow pass back to AM was a shocker!). I agree a goal against the green buggers would be wonderful!

Despite playing quite well yesterday I fear we're going to rue not beating Valencia and they will play far better at home. I'm also afraid Gers will have trouble in Turkey. Hope those who have suggested Man Utd won't need the points when they visit Ibrox and Gers get a victory in that match. But I don't see it happening. They'll need to win in Bursaspor and at least a draw in Valencia. So I'll say 9 points to go through and hope Man Utd beat Valencia again.

As long as we get a win...but I agree it'll be 4-4-2. I would play Broadfoot ahead of Whittaker.

I'm worried about our defence too. They haven't looked good at all this season, apart from the Man Utd match. And I can't figure that out as we have the same 4 backs as we did last season. Gers need a big victory but I'll settle for 1-0.

I agree--Gers defending on corners has been poor this season. They all just watched on the first or second Fifers' goal. It was good to see Lafferty have a good game. I hope that gives him some confidence and we see better performances from him soon. Although I wonder how much he'll get to play if they sign Kerkar. Also liked what I saw of Hutton.

Alexander Papac at LB, Webster, Bougherra, Broadfoot Weiss at LW, Davis, Edu, Naismith RW Jelavic and Beattie up front I agree an early goal would be good as would a victory.

Great effort by the team! It's very difficult to pick one player. The defenders and midfielders made some great tackles and MacGregor wasn't troubled. Thought that was Edu's best performance in a long time. Another solid performance by Naismith too. I watched it on TV. Can't wait for the next CL match!

I'm wondering if Davie should be rested. I just can't think who I'd play instead of him at cb. I also think Kenny should be rested for Man Utd. Jelavic and Beattie should be able to knock in a few against Hamilton.

Lafferty and Jelavic cost nearly 8m between them vs Boyd's 400k. Will these two strikers plus Beattie score 25 goals between them this season? Far too early to tell if Jelavic will score as many as Boyd. Like you I've lost confidence in Lafferty and feel Beattie is a substitute to come on for a tired Miller or Jelavic.
