The long term benefits of implementing a similar strategy to Feyenoords would be great, both in terms of finance and developed talent on the field. I have no doubt in my mind that if we gave a group of talented young players (hutton, Perry, ness, cole ( who has been excellent on loan at thistle ) Fleck, Wylde, Little, Hemmings, McCabe etc.) a season together in the first team then we would reap the benefits for many years to come. In my opinion as a club we have let go of very promising youth players in the past because of our refusal to give youngsters a run in the side, Ross McCormack being the obvious example. Everyone knows the state our club is in, so to me it only makes sense that now is the time to start putting our most talented youngsters into the first team alongside the likes of Mcgregor, Davis, Bocangera and give them the chance to settle in, gain valuable first team experience and from that being able to kick on and establish themselves as valuable first team players.
