  1. Peralta, Simonsen, Hutton, shiels, cribari will be off I reckon. No doubt all on free`s since we are the only club in the country that seem unable to demand a transfer fee.
  2. Just seen a report of his funeral on Sky Sports News. Good to see so many high profile faces there, just shows you how highly he was regarded, although we knew that anyway. Sky Sports news has been pretty spot with him since he passed away. Their reporting on his death, the tributes and now his funeral today have been very respectful. Hats off to them.
  3. Simmo Foster Faure Mohsni Smith Peralta Gallagher Black Law McCulloch Daly *Wallace in for Smith if fit Due to injuries I don`t think we have many options for this game. Smith in for Wallace is a straight swap really, don`t think we have anyone else better suited for left back. He also seems to have been working on his delivery at set pieces which is probably where we are most likely to get goals from in this game, taking into consideration the aerial threat of jig, mohsni and Daly. Ideally we would have other centre backs available but we have to make do with what we have. No chance I would have Mcculloch at the back again with Mohsni as that partnership seems to get worse and worse. I`d stick Faure in there and stick Mcculloch up front with Daly purely for the aerial threat, which is the best type of threat I think we can muster with the players available. Faure is also a natural centre back and I do think there is a decent player in there. If we play Peralta in his natural position at defensive mid then this is the type of game he could shine in. We need someone with a bit of pace in there to help the full backs cope with the speed of Mackay-Steven/Gauld so I think Peralta will come in handy here. A defensive midfielder is vital in this game as we will need someone to cover for Foster/Smith when they push forward to support our wide players. Black at centre midfield picks itself, no one else available and we will need him to utilise his range of passing in this game, as well as his aggression in the middle. I`d have Law on the left of midfield. He is someone that can run at the opposition, cut in from the right and put a decent ball into the box or have an effort on goal. He also played on the left a lot for Motherwell and was very effective for them in this position. On the right I would have Gallagher instead of Aird. In my opinion Gallagher is a better and more intelligent player than Aird, he can also put a good ball into the box which will be needed if we have Mcculloch and Daly up top. It`s not pretty but up front I would have Mcculloch and Daly. I think these 2 can bully the united defence and unsettle them, also if Gallagher and law can put decent balls in, which I believe they can do, then it could cause havoc for their defence up against the aerial power of both Jig and Daly. If this fails to work then we could always bring Clark on from the bench for one of them, he would bring a totally different threat and I think he and Gallagher could link up well with each other. Personally I don`t think the team will be anything like this, but it`s what I`d go with. It`s not designed to be pretty, thanks to the unavailability of certain players, but in my eyes it would be the most effective way of getting at United and giving ourselves the best chance possible.
  4. Dons Fans On Tour ‏@DonsFansOnTour 3h Utd and Dons fans are to boycott food kiosks at Ibrox during semis. Please RT. Anyone good at designing a poster to help spread the word Just seen this on twitter Celtic fans now getting behind it and encouraging this. Must admit I found this rather amusing.
  5. Hmm I`ve thought this myself to be honest. Wouldn`t surprise me if thats what does go through the referees head. Just think its unfair when our players do the same then they aren`t slow in flashing a card.
  6. Says it all that Mr Lawell feels the need to reply to the " whoever is running the spfl" comment. To me that only confirms what is going on in scottish football,
  7. Massive tim that is most likely at the wind up. But don`t let that get in the way of a good old ally bash
  8. Seems retrospective punishment in scotland only happens when a particular incident is highlighted in the media and made a fuss off. Which I think is why our players have been punished more than other clubs players this way, to the best of my recollection anyway I may be wrong.
  9. To be honest the first time I seen it I thought it was just a shove and Jig made a meal of it, however after watching it back the guy goes in and boots him with the ball nowhere near them. Should get looked at, but it wasn`t one of our players, so the beaks aren`t interested.
  10. Nothing new from them. From as far back as I can remember they tend to use photos of criminals in their Rangers gear. I have also read articles before in which they mention the person is a Rangers fan, even though it has absolutely no relevance to the story.
  11. They are now claiming the H meant " Highlands" and it was in reference to the highland clearances
  12. http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/5579-club-statement
  13. Would expect it really from a Celtic chairman but the fact he is also on the board of the SFA and SPFL then I`d say he has brought the game into disrepute. Position on these boards is surely untenable.
  14. I speak to Doddie every week, couldn`t meet a nicer guy who is always having a wee laugh. Must have got him on a pretty bad day.
  15. Was that STV report for real? Just stopped shorted of calling the police liars and had some University professor on basically saying it wasn`t bad. Fucking unbelievable.
  16. So from that video alone, IRA chants, attacking police, bars destroyed, Trams attacked and a horrific amount of litter (since we were lampooned for that in Manchester). How will they weasel their way out of this one?
  17. You would think so, but this is where the scottish media spring into action and with a sweep here, and a sweep there, its like nothing happened..
  18. It was RT`d onto my timeline by another bear, its been favorited and Rt`d loads of time you will see it at some point. Something to do with he has relatives in Amsterdam that told him this
  19. Seen a celtic fan on twitter tweeting Raman from stv saying it was Ajax fans dressed up in celtic gear causing trouble tonight
  20. Used to feel great watching highlights of those goals, now i`m getting a horribly disheartening feeling watching them after todays news
  21. Allan McGregor got a retrospective match ban for kicking out in the direction of an Aberdeen player and he didn't even make contact! Funnily enough I don't remember at the time people saying he "flicked his leg out" or that his punishment was harsh. If anything people wanted him banned for a number of games!
  22. Just seen the incident a few minutes ago. Only Celtic could try and claim it wasn't a red, one of the most blatant red cards you will see this season.
  23. If this was us the press, in particular the daily record, would be going to town on us. Will be interesting to see how this result gets reported tomorrow. Considering the record were absolutely gushing over them for getting beat 2 nil by milan`s reserves
  24. Kinda disappointing considering the team we had out. Don`t know how strong the Hibs team was but their first team are rank rotten anyway.
  25. Tims now kicking up a fuck with anyone having a laugh at it over twitter claiming he has alzhemiers? First ive heard of this?
