  1. He took deserved grief in my opinion over the last few games but he is going to learn and he is going to be a top manager. Guys a natural born winner. He knows what he wants us to do and I am sure he will make it happen. Just need to buckle up for the ride as he learns his trade
  2. Played well today. Think Jack gives the other midfielders a platform to get forward. Really like Jack, think he is a brilliant holding midfielder doing the heavy lifting for others
  3. Depends if we need to make a sub to change a game that’s going against us. This isn’t a computer simulation. Sometimes putting someone different on, anyone, will give the team a fresh drive, new energy, even if it’s to take the gaffers message in to the pitch ffs. But do Something. I get his comments about it not being tactical but clearly there were people miles off their game tonight and hooking one or two of them would have been proactive. Jack on for anyone. Halliday on for Flannagan. Grezda in for Middleton or even one of the midfield 3. Any fucking thing to change the obvious direction of the game. Anyone who didn’t think Flannagan needed hooked at half time doesn’t understand the game. I don’t mean that to be an over the board pop at Steven Gerrard because he has forgotten more about the game than I will ever know but he seems to have a blind spot for certain players and an over reliance that “they will come good”
  4. I find myself agreeing with most of what David Edgar says.
  5. Not picking on you because I have seen loads of people say this. But it’s shite. We were 3-2 up and threw it away. Regardless of that goal going in or not we should have won that game. The way we defended, even 4-2 up we could have conceded 2
  6. Flannagan is pish. There. I said it. He does nothing going forward and struggles to stop crosses coming in from that side. People never shut the fuck up about Tav’s defending yet Flannagan is just as bad without the benefit of attacking He should be third or fourth choice LB. and back up for RB. He is not solely to blame for tonight. I thought the whole team looked lacking in energy and not at the races. We struggled to keep any kind of shape and again the ball was like a hot potato
  7. Aye because that’s the managers job. Assess a game and make changes when they are needed. Anyone can put the best 11 players on the pitch. It takes tactical awareness to alter it when it’s not working. He did it at the weekend when he saw Flannagan was shite. Granted Halliday should have started tonight but at half time Flannagan should have been off then we should have had jack in for Ejaria or Coulibaly, take your pick. Subs should have been made and well before the 80th minute.
  8. Don’t always need attacking subs to make a change. We were ahead 3 times in that game. Perhaps we didn’t need an attacking sub. However once you go down you have to do something
  9. Should have been hooked. Gerrard needs to take the blame again
  10. Would have stopped at least one if he had made the change at half time when it’s clearly not working change it.
  11. This is getting ridiculous now. Flannagan should have been off at half time and Grezda should have been on much earlier to try and change things. Gerrard just stands there. I almost expect to see him chewing his zip. Love him, but he needs to start taking control of this.
  12. See a few fenians are trying to use the “always cheated never defeated” tagline on us. Couldnae mark their necks with a blowtorch. Ambulance chasing fuckers and they try to turn it on us like they did with the “go home ya H**” patter. If they ever had an original thought they would implode
  13. That is a scorcher of a statement. Dignified silence? Ram it up your arse.
  14. When was the last religious war ? Let’s not claim Al Qaeda or Islamic State because that is neither war nor truely religious Any war since the industrial revolution has been about money and power. Many would argue all war ever has been about money and power. The protagonists just use the religious angle to recruit. Anyway. This is still the bears den right?
  15. This is the most relevant answer of the thread. 1955 is basically 3 generations ago. The world has moved on. Everything moves faster now than in 1955, no one has time for the things they used to like orange order or the Masonic lodge Communities are dying. Neighbours barely know each other now. Folk don’t look out for each other the same as they used to. Lots of things have changed and many not for the better. But that’s progress. We can’t cling on to the past we have to move with the times and influence the present rather than cling on to something that’s already gone. I just worry that the youth have already been conditioned by a decade of SNP government to believe in things like repulicanism and independence. I think it’s looking ever likely that there will be a break up of the UK in my lifetime and I would never have believed that 10 years ago
  16. No mate. I was just going by the post by RowX dont know how to multi-quote but he said “I wonder which member of the key management personnel got 783k.” Given your specificity I am assuming “key management personnel” means more than one person. If our CEO is getting £215k then that’s a much more realistic salary. Thanks for the education.
  17. I am not comfortable at all with this poppy politics. Our forefathers fought and died for their country. The majority that died did so during the two world wars which were fought to preserve our way of life including our right to freedom of expression. If people don’t want to wear the poppy that’s entirely up to them. James McLean May be a rabid fenian cunt but if he doesn’t want to wear a poppy then he shouldn’t be made to and shouldn’t be vilified for his choice. The outrage expressed every year by his choice does nothing but highlight his political views and makes him a hero and standard bearer for those who agree with his view. Live and let live . Pay your respects as you wish, let others do the same. Lest we forget.
  18. We should get rid. But not because he has given an interview describing his contractual situation accurately. Just because he is not as good as Katic.
  19. Hamstring. was Training with the physios last week. Close to being back. No date given. Seems since the farcical 7-10 days we just stopped giving timelines
  20. Isn’t it just paid advertising? Would be interesting to see what would happen if the SNP tried to buy some advertising with us.
  21. Hope he hangs around for a few seasons as a squad player.
  22. Horrific showing today. Presume that’s why Gerrard sent him out in front of the camera. Terrible day for it so let’s pretend it didn’t happen and see how he does next time out.
  23. Thought he was outstanding on his debut. He has swung between average and poor since then.
  24. Any member of the key management team that delivered results equating to a 14 million pound loss does not deserve to be paid 783k pound never mind a bonus. In principal I object to any CEO earning that kind of salary and I especially object to a CEO of Rangers being paid that. I may be naive but if Rangers are a 38 million pound a year business then our CEO should be getting less than 250k. Ffs, I run a business that generates 67 million USD revenue a year and I can assure you I don’t get paid that kind of money.
