  1. Can’t take to him at all. Feels like he came up here thinking it was beneath him to go on loan to Scotland. Maybe now he is starting to “get it” but he will need to keep up that level of performance if he is going to win the fans over. Still cant see why we bring guys like this in to develop them for their parent clubs when we have our own players that need that same development. Katic may not be the next Baresi but I can’t help feel that he would have really benefited from the time in the team that Worrall has taken
  2. The emotion showed by Halliday and Jack makes me want to greet
  3. Just out of curiosity. What the fuck does “my unofficial captain” mean? Does that mean he would be captain if Tav wasn’t ? Does it mean he would be captain if he was first choice? Does it mean Gerrard would prefer him as captain? i find it a very strange thing to say. If he had said he is a true leader in the dressing room, or if he had said he doesn’t need the armband to show he is captain material or some other choice of words then I get it, but “my unofficial captain” is just weird
  4. It’s brilliant and hilarious because he didn’t get sent off. It would have been stupid, impetuous and massively damaging if the ref decided otherwise, which given the season we have had, Beaton easily could have same action two vastly different outcomes Alfredo is our best player, our main threat, our entire team plays with a focus on him. He is going to move on for mega bucks, however, he chanced his luck with that boot in the balls and I for one would have preferred he hadn’t done it. Apart from the risk he took in the game, his card is even further marked for future games. He seems to be getting his temper under control and but still needs to focus on the strong bullying forward play without the kick outs
  5. McInnes would have been a disaster for us and set us back years more. That would have been a nailed on 10 in a row and we totally dodged that bullet i don’t think we have very much money in the bank to be fair, A loss of 18 m over the last financial year is brutal. But having got rid of Caixinha and now looking settled I expect us to start clawing the money back over the next couple of seasons. We still need to strengthen though so could be 3 or 4 seasons before we are in break even territory. I still expect some wheeling and dealing with us selling some players to free up funds. If we get anything above 12 million for Morelos he will be gone
  6. He will be a colossus of a manager. Learning his trade at the moment but he is just a born winner who totally gets what it takes. Forthright, honest, knowledgeable. Smart enough to surround himself with top notch people. Razor sharp in front of the media. Clear headed under pressure. He will bring us 55 and then it’s a matter of if we can keep him after his contract expires.
  7. I genuinely couldn’t watch today. Wanted it so bad and after recent form I feared we wouldn’t get the win. Especially with our injury list Followed it on the Twitter feed while drinking beers with some mates. Delighted to get the win but my nerves couldn’t have taken watching it.
  8. My boy was born in March 2012. He is just now getting in to football. Thank fuck he missed that last 6 years. Hope now all he knows is dominance.
  9. Fucking love Andy Halliday. Delighted he has made it back into favour with fans and management alike. Since he smacked hat one in against Hibs in the 6-2 win I have fucking loved him and although I didn’t have the balls to watch today it’s great to hear he had a MOTM performance gonna watch the game later
  10. Time. A precious thing that Rangers fans rarely dispense. Scottish football is a unique sport. I think so many people dismiss the game up here as easy. I think Warburton and Caixinha totally under estimated how difficult it is. I also think Gerrard probably didn’t appreciate it. But he is learning. He brought in so many players because he had to. The junk that the fore mentioned hapless couple left behind needed ripped out. But Gerrard was no different from them in so far as he had to do a big recruitment before actually learning the Scottish game. Now he is seeing the game for what it is, well organized, well drilled, very ordinary players who continuously play the game of their lives in order to get one over the big bad Rangers either because they hate us or because they want a move to us. Added to the fact that there is probably no other team in British football whose fans expect, nay demand, a win every single game. Irrespective of opposition. Irrespective of budgets. Our fans demand the win. We have the second biggest budget in the country. We should be beating the likes of St Johnstone, and we did. Gerrard has the same high standards and he understands the expectations and shares them. This guy will get us back to the top, he will undoubtedly learn a few lessons on the way and there will be big bumps in the road and certainly a few of his signings won’t make it but ultimately, probably not this season but next season I believe he will win us the 55 and because of that belief I will allow him his mistakes, I will forgive him his stumbles and I hope as a support we back him.
  11. Squads getting a bit threadbare now. We need the break badly. Think we will beat the Junkies but concerned about the scum game. need to have as many players available as possible. Get Arfield and McCauley back No injuries or suspensions from the junkies game is important.
  12. Chat of 25 and 30 million is fantasy man. Not even going to entertain the McCoist comment. Best player we’ve got and an absolute handful for any defender but he has a bit of developing to do yet and we are not yet in a position that we can turn down bids in excess of 15 million. Someone pitches up with that kind of money in january and I will be stunned if it’s not accepted.
  13. Gerrard says he has looked at it and doesn’t think it’s a pen.
  14. Terrible analogy tbh. Why do people try to compare incompatible sports. What is the equivalent of “knock the cunt out” in football? presumably scoring. So would you say that the judges at a boxing match have the ability to prevent a boxer from knocking his opponent out? No Does a referee have the ability to prevent one team from scoring a goal? Yes Do the decisions made by a scorecard judge influence the fight? No. Do the decisions made by a refereee influence a game of football? Yes. And for the hard of thinking. We lost last night because we missed too many chances. But the ref was also shite and influenced the game with bad decisions.
  15. I think he applied himself brilliantly last night. Stayed on the right side of the rules. Much fewer fouls and more strong assertive play. His link up play and holding of the ball is brilliant. He has the presence of a much bigger guy I do think, like so many other strikers, he can be a bit selfish at times. There were 2 or 3 occasions last night where the square ball would have been a near certain goal but he tried to blast it himself. He will only get better and he will not be long for this league.
  16. Fuck me what a car crash of a thread. I remember the times when debating referees decisions was part of the pleasure of the game. I guess people behave completely differently on the internet than they do face to face so I shouldn’t be surprised. However the total inability of people to separate issues. Here is a couple of examples of separating issues and entertaining them both at the same time. We were not clinical enough and our failure to finish many many opportunities was the reason we dropped 2 points AND the referee was shite and gave a few decisions against us that would have influenced the game significantly. see how that works. Two statements that can be considered together without one negating the others Next referees in Scotland are utterly shite AND there is an institutional biased against Rangers after years of dignified silence from us and years of harassment from others get the idea now? There can be more than one truths In football forum land and probably social media generally there seems to be a complete inability to grasp this most basic of concepts
  17. Anyone else see white dots moving about that advertising screen behind him 😂
  18. Any suggestions? No being funny just genuinely wouldn’t know who would be available and in our price range
  19. Another thought I had this morning is that Gerrard has been talking recently about he now knows who he can rely on. He said let night that with a full strength squad we might have won I think we will start to see a more settled 11 now. Hopefully a back four of Tav, Goldson, Katic and Barisic candeias right, Kent left with Morelos up top and the other 3 positions up for grabs between Grezda, Jack, Arfield, Rossiter, Middleton and McCrorie Ejaria, Worral, and Coulibaly can fuck off any time they like
  20. Football fans have always reflected the wider societal problems. Today’s society is all about instant gratification. No patience at all. Like Simon Sinek says, people want to be at the top of the mountain but don’t want to do the climbing. Middleton is a decent prospect who is working his arse off to improve. His attitude is spot on and the ability and experience will come. He wasn’t our worst player tonight. The only players that should get pellets from our support are the ones who hide or don’t try. We have had plenty over the years. The ones that work their arse off and commit to the team should be actual supported u til such times the manager decides if they have the ability. If any player is working hard and trying his best it’s not his fault if he isn’t good enough and the manager picks him middleton however is not in that category
  21. You keep doing you. Time will tell who is right
  22. Middleton is 18 ffs. Grezda is coming in to a game. Coulibaly is utter dross right enough.
  23. Naw. Winners win titles. Footballing men win football matches. Leaders win titles Steven Gerrard is a straight talking, no nonsense winner who live and breathes football. He is not here for the money he is here for the fight. He has taken us from a European laughing stock to a couple of unlucky breaks from qualification out of the group stages of the UEFA cup having played teams with 10 times our budget. Some inconsistency aside he has us back at the sharp end of the league table and has corrected our home form as well as taken us 11 games unbeaten in Europe. All in one transfer window. Imagine what he will do with 3 or 4 windows. I repeat talk of sacking him is madness
  24. Ally got loads of time. And if you can’t see the difference between Gerrard and the other two imposters then I don’t know what to tell you. I hear cricket is a popular sport?
