  1. There is no way we are winning this season and there is no way we should sack Gerrard. I have seen enough to know he is going to be a top manager and he needs time to build a winning mentality. He is making mistakes but is learning from some. I wish to fuck he would learn from the chopping and changing of the center halves though. Needs to settle on Goldson Katic partnership and needs to be a lot more bold with the tactics. Too cautious. Talk of sacking him if he doesn’t win the league is madness.
  2. He’s the right back with the highest number of assists on our team. Did I read right that he has highest assists in the league? Cannae cross but.
  3. Tav was very good defensively tonight just didn’t create as much as usual. You obviously got the wrong memo. Coulibaly is yer man tonight
  4. Very good article and I have to hold my hands up on two counts... firstly i thought at the tail end of last season he was a huffy wee prick and we would have done well to get rid of him for as much as we could. My view was we should have taken the 10 million from the Chinese.... Secondly and not so long ago, I think around the time he got the double yellow card for dissent, I said he was just a bit thick. His development this season under Gerrard has been exceptional, he has really kicked on since his aberration in Europe and you can see that he is working on his reactions. He has never been a dirty player but I think until recently he did struggle to control his frustration and he seems to have addressed that now. He is without a doubt our most important player right now, and I got it flat wrong. I hope we can hold on to him for a long time and if we do lose him I hope he bursts our transfer record
  5. “Gerrard hits back at Leveins comments” ffs
  6. This is, like dignified silence, an outdated mindset which belongs in a pre-internet age. propaganda is now beamed direct into people’s minds on multiple devices. I don’t advocate becoming needy “everyone please love us” snowflake mentality but we damn well better challenge injustice and inequality
  7. Aye. Fair point. Just a wee eruption of frustration that came out of the blue after a very positive result.
  8. TBH it’s not what Berra has said that bothers me. He has actually not said much wrong at all. What bothers me is the way it’s reported. The way that Rangers celebrating is such a big deal when everyone else does much worse. Christ other teams invade pitches, wipe their snot on our flags, tie scarves to our goalposts and nothing. Our players punch the air to our own fans or stretch out their arms and their is outrage Might be the wrong thread as Berra is just explaining why he was pissed off, but the point stands.
  9. I can’t help think it’s all a wee bit sinister. No one else gets shit for celebrating. We just beat the early season pace setters on their own patch to go top of the league for the first time since 2011 and we go to our own fans to celebrate the result. How is this in any way a problem the reason it feels sinister is because it is singling out one group of people for different treatment and everyone agreeing that it’s ok to do it because it’s Rangers. This is absolutely prejudiced. Call it bigotry or sectarianism or whatever but Rangers are being marginalised and treated differently. It’s on the back of years of dehumanising Rangers and it’s fans and painting them as evil or somehow lesser than everyone else. it is a dark path
  10. Just think there is currently a mental block that is holding us back and a win against them will remove it. First 20 minutes today we were timid and standoffish. We conceded and that seemed to release us and we went on from there. I think beating them would have a similar effect on our season. If we beat them the true belief will flow and I think we will go on to win the league.
  11. Great result today but I don’t think I would be declaring any turning point until we beat the scum. Let’s not forget that the wheels had come off Hearts before today. December is a massive month with Aberdeen, Hibs twice and the final hurdle on the 29th. We will definitely drop points again this month but the true marker will be to beat that lot at Ibrox and let them know they are in a scrap for the title. If we take those 3 points it’s game on.
  12. One psychological hurdle remains. Once we clear that there is no stopping us.
  13. Goram McCall Gazza Laudrup Cooper fuck defence. McCall can handle it.
  14. I am perfectly comfortable holding both the view that we should never have brought any of the class of 2012 back as well as the view that McGregor is the best goalkeeping option available to us. He has done very well since coming back I always thought lafferty was a clown shoe and wouldn’t have signed him back and he hasn’t really done anything yet to change that view I don’t want Davis back. Partially because of the way he left before and partially because he is too old and I am tired of Ibrox being a retirement home. I definitely don’t want Naismith back. Because of the interview and his knees. In summary, I didnt and don’t want any of them to return but if the club sign them and they play well and help us to 55 then I will be delighted
  15. I don’t understand. Was shot at glory a biopic on the background, make-up, and character of our current manager? Even the trailer added to my understanding of our manager and gave a little more confidence he has what it takes to make us a success. Can’t wait to see the whole movie
  16. Vague recollections of listening to this on the radio.
  17. Just add him to the list of players that we took a total punt on in the hope that they would turn out a diamond in the rough that we could sell at a profit. We employed a trader and he tried to buy low and sell high. He thought he could take English mediocrity, make it shine in Scotland and punt it back to England. Vardy was his inspiration. Just got it wrong every time.
  18. Not sure why the next 9 games are any more relevant than any other 9 games. It’s a league. We play everyone 4 times. The league is really really competitive this year. Teams are performing well above their par. Anyone can drop points anywhere. We could be 6 points behind on the 1st of January and still win the league or we could be ahead and still lose it. The main constant is everyone raises their game against us. Hibs in particular will save their best for us. The sheep shaggers too. We have a strained squad that have already played nearly 30 games and a schedule that almost eclipses 2008. I think I will just look at the next game and hope we take the 3 points off Livi without injury or suspension. Morelos is heading for a suspension.
  19. I think we tend to overlook the challenge of playing Thursday/Sunday for a relatively newly formed squad of young players who haven’t played a lot of top flight football. This is why, as frustrated as I get with some of Gerrards decisions and subs, I fully believe he is going to lead us to the promised land. He has spent very little net spend. He has pulled together guys who weren’t first choice at their respective clubs, some loanees and he has got better performances out of players we had consigned to the scrap heap and got them all to within 2 points of the league leaders and within touching distance of qualification in Europe. Its nothing short of remarkable really.
  20. I genuinely thought so yes. As mentioned his arm is in an unnatural position and so I get why it is given. but it all happened so fast, I don’t think there was hand to ball movement so from that perspective it’s not deliberate and so a soft one. I am making a Clear distinction between not a penalty and a soft penalty. Perhaps not a nuance that works on the internet.
  21. It’s on one of the Facebook closed groups. GersTV.
  22. Saw that. It really does show up their philosophy when they are wearing rugby gear to play football they are a horrible team and deserve the tanking they got today..... but I didn’t think it was a bookable offence for the penalty. In fact, while his arm is in an unnatural position and it can be given as a penalty, I thought it was a soft one and if it had been against us I would be pissed off. but fuck them, especially with him coming out saying our players are conning refs. That’s just bollocks, we have had at least two injuries today and if they hadn’t had that red when they did, then I am sure we could have risked more injuries before they would have seen a red anyway. It was inevitable the way they were playing. Despicable football that belongs in the 70s and 80s
