  1. Thing is, did Brown say this after it had been suggested that Rangers had cooled their interest? If not, i'm shocked!!!! People always go on about how big a bluenose he is so if Rangers were still interested why on earth would he say he'd prefer Celtic. ok Rangers are struggling while Celtic are running away with the league but for a true Rangers fan surely such a scenario would only enhance your desire to change such a situation and join your boyhood heroes.
  2. In SMD's, Walters & Ally's eyes the appointment has already happened surely.
  3. Darrell King certainly didn't like her comment!!! Darrell King, that who I didnot know. I do like this guy. Who is he? What is he known for? I don't reckonise his name he's a journalist, can't remember which paper he writes for.....either the Sun/Record/Evening Times. He does talk a lot of sense, fairly sure he has a soft spot for the gers too. It's the evening times

  6. Some are delighted with the appointment and some think its a big mistake. To be honest i can see both sides of the argument. But one thing we should all agree on is that they are complete Legends. When Rangers are in a time of need, they haven't thought twice about coming back. I mean don't forget that both of them had it really good with Scotland. Ally had a part-time job and could fill all his TV commitments which he appears to love doing. And Walter was getting endless amounts of praise and at 59yo would probably be suited to the less hectic nature of the Scotland job. But they have jumped at the chance to come back, and i thank them. Some people say they love Rangers but when it comes to the crunch the don't show it, these 2 guys certainly have.
  7. Brown for me, very disappointed to read in the Evening Times that Rangers have taken a step back in their interest in Brown.
  8. yes its all vey worrying...I think we showed a lot of ignorance in our tretament of PLG. He always kept his dignity and blamed himself for the poor results. We have to become more mature supporters and realise time has to be allowed. Every manager has made poor signings heck look at Schevschenkos poor showing for Chelsea. we have tarnished the name of RFC with this fiasco i agree with you that time was needed and if PLG was committed then from the sounds of the reports today SDM would have given it to him. However PLG would not commit beyond the end of this season and that simply is not good enough when such a large rebuilding job is required. PLG's change in attitude clearly showed to Murray that his heart was not in it. Its a shame, i liked PLG despite his shocking signings. And i disagreed with his treatment of fergie but i'd never boo him off the team bus etc.
  9. Yer Heid Is Stuck In The Sand Murray Pay Up Or GTF (beer) Garuntee that would have been the response had I not posted it just now!
  10. what makes you think he would have turned it around?? From the look of todays reports he wasn't too interested in bringing in new players and wouldn't commit beyond the end of the season. So he would have turned it round in 5 months with these same players.....i have my doubts. Actually there's no chance he would have turned it round with some of his diddy buys.
  11. SDM is the only chairman in the history of scottish football who i would want as chairman of rangers. In my opinion, The Fish is way over the top in his criticism.
  12. This boy definitely doesn't look 15!!! I hope he manages to fulfill his potential, sadly we won't know for another couple of seasons. Although from the looks of the Scotland Schoolboys our youths look like a talented bunch.
  13. unless i was a billionaire, i would not be investing in football. Especially when a manager as highly respected as PLG forked out ?1.8m for Sebo. There was very few chairmen in world football who invest their own money, the only reason the English clubs spend so much (with the exception of Chelsea) is due to the TV money they receive. The English transfer market is crazy as a result of tv revenue and the chelsea influence!
  14. If the money is not there then why is David Murray getting criticised!!?? He overspent in the 90's and was (a few years later) widely criticised. Now that he makes sure we only spend what we make, he still gets criticised. This is even after he helped clear our massive level of debt. The accounts speak for themselves, there is no hidden reserves that Murray is refusing to spend. I don't understand why some people are against SDM.
  15. BBC beat clyde 1 on this one, clyde only announced it a couple of minutes ago. Altho Clyde defo announced Ally and Walter first.
  16. i used to work in a pub and a female from there applied for the Scotland job....must have been when Craig Brown left. It made the paper (possibly Sunday Mail). The application said things like she would be able "to keep the players happy"!!! and i'm fairly sure she got a polite reply rejecting her.
  17. for me its clyde......especially when tosh finally left!!! What went on there? did he leave just cos he was wrong about the amount of money strachan had to spend????
  18. money talks in the end. but yeah from the reports he has a real chip on his shoulder about rangers.
  19. In McCall's interview on Sky Sports News he made a joke about h isn't needed at Ibrox cos Jimmy Bell is doing a great job. Just a joke but implies that with Smith No.1 and Ally No.2, McCall thinks that there isn't really a job there for him. He is no.2 at Utd and may not want to take a step back in job terms (altho its a big step forward in club terms). Hope he comes though and maybe the draw of rangers would be too much.
  20. no the common denominator is a losing team. when you have a losing team there is unhappiness and thats when you get rumours......and more often than not these rumours are rubbish. There is absolutely no evidence fergie caused a dressing room split. Even if there was one could it not just have evolved due to different cultures and Le Guen simply did not have the ability to bring all the players together like Walter could in his time.
  21. where did you hear this??? thats a shocking amount considering it was "by mutual consent"!!
  22. Walter to take charge with Super Ally his right hand man and Ian Durrant his coach. And Stuart McCall could also be added to the new team.
  23. hope not, he has let down 2 managers given the ability he possesses. sell him and get some money in.
  24. i really don't see how Ferguson has used the media, the story was going to get out that he was dropped. Iain king, peter martin and viola have simply said that fergie is gutted....that isn't a surprise!!! Other than that Ferguson has kept a dignified silence. I just hopes he speaks out to clear his name. Looking at whats been said, it appears to me that PLG overreacted (massive understatement). TBH i don't know if he has used the media either, i would have been raging if he hadn't spoken out after the motherwell game.
