I posted the following a few months ago and I have seen no reason to change my mind. Quite the opposite in fact. In my opinion the IPO was never a share issue for fans who couldn't afford to lose their investment - it was only for institutions and for the better off fans who could afford to give the Club a donation. We can see now that some of the IPO money has indeed been 'donated' into some unsavoury pockets.

An excellent contribution from Frankie as usual. The difficulty is this. I have supported Ally as manager and backed him to succeed. Today I'm not quite so sure, although I'm not calling for him to go, but some doubts are creeping in. What happens if we get to the point where it really isn't going to happen for Ally and he needs to be replaced? An increasing number feel that we are already there, or nearly there. Putting Rangers First might mean replacing Ally at some point - would Walter put Rangers First or would he refuse to back such a move?

The examples given in the SFA rule are illustrative, not prescriptive. PM is not automatically precluded from being a director by virtue of that rule. Indeed, I think his solicitors would have a strong case (for better or worse) that he should not be precluded from being a director.
