Yeah from memory it was 16m Euro's (£13.7m) for Morelos and £10m for Kent a couple years ago.

If we had sold either for those fees at that time there would have been uproar. Those same fans can't now complain we didn't accept those bids.

The Lille chairman was on talksport after the bid was rejected and I'm sure he said 16M pounds and Rangers wouldn't take anything less than 20 then went out and signed Jonathan David for 25M euros a couple of days later.

We've admitted now that we had bids for Morelos and Kent if I've picked that up correctly.

I find it amazing we have now let it get to this point where they could leave for nothing.

The bids for both players came in during the summer before the 55 season started it was 16M for Morelos from Lille and if rumours are to be believed the offer for Kent was from Leeds.

In fact looking at next season…

Its almost certain Alfie, Kent, Roofe, Helander, Kamara, Jack, Arfield, Davis, McGregor & Sands will be gone.

Matondo, Wright & Barisic should be joining them if we want a successful team.

This will leave our squad with…

    GK—McCrorie, McLaughlin

    RB—Tavernier, Devine

    CB—Goldson, Davies, King, Souttar

    LB—Yilmaz

    CM—Lundstram, McCann

    RW—Sakala

    CAM—Lowry, Hagi

    LW—Lawrence

    ST—Colak, Lovelace

    We would then absolutely need…

    1 GK

*potentially a new RB not sure I trust Devine.

    1 CB

    1 LB

    2 or 3 CM’s

    1 CAM

    3 Wingers / CAM’s

    1 or 2 Striker

That will be 10 to 13 new players required in the summer, if we had any sense we would start that rebuild in January and spread the cost.

Although I do worry Matondo, Wright, Borna & potentially even Jack & Arfield 🤮will still be here next season.

Roofe still has another year after this, nobody is taking him off our hands

I might have hit a blank here but cannae mind this one mate. If Trevor Steven, wasn't a winger?

Trevor Steven wasn't a traditional winger more a wide right midfielder allowing Gary Stevens to overlap him, late on in his career he moved more centrally.

Great result for Man United. Glad he had the balls to drop Maguire, Shaw and Ronaldo.

Seemed to turn McTominay into a half decent player as well.

Was at the game tonight as a neutral and that's what I said to those around me, get rid of  Bruno next and they'll be in decent shape nothing but a diving bastard.

Irrespective of the 2nd goal today which he’s unsighted with he’s just not good enough.

Lost count of the number of goal kicks straight out the park today, uneasy at cross balls and really not that effective playing it out from the back.

Before I get slaughtered I said openly I wouldn’t have renewed his contract last season long before the No.1 debate came up this season.

What do you want him to do with the goal kicks? we were down to nine men everybody in our team was 25yards from his goal  he had 2 options punt it to their defenders/keeper or kick for touch one wastes slightly more time than the other.

He has ducked out the way of a shot a few times while he's been here.

He's about the only centre half I've seen in 35 years watching us that I can't remember ever seeing throw himself in front of a shot.
