Lafferty at last showing some desire!

Novo would be desperate to play this game with one leg missing! A little virus was never gonna stop him!

He is being played in his proper position, with good support and a quality striking partner. If he cant turn up a NI performance today, then he has no excuses and should be moved on. The excuses have dried up now. One thing that Lafferty does have however is the ability to bully their centre halfs, which we've seen they cant handle.

This will be Lafferty's last shot in a lot of peoples eyes I reckon. He actually HAS to turn in a performance here.

We really are down to the bare bones of the squad here!

Boyd doesn't need to score to prove his worth to the team. The last couple of games he's played against them he's played well without scoring. As people continually say with Boyd "It's not just about scoring" yet he played well in the last old firm game but didn't score and got berated for it! As long as the team wins it doesn't matter who scores.

It is a bit dull but until the other players put in the effort to actually get better its gonna be like that for a while longer..

I would be really shocked if Edu appeared in the starting 11.

There is a reason Mendes is a more saleable asset though. He's a far superior player.

Lewis with a 100+ hardly froze against him and Taylor still wiped the floor with him. Its not purely a case of players bottling it against him, he is by far and away the best player.

1-0 Taylor Webster doesn't stand a chance. It does look like being en epic final though!

I highly doubt the game will be called off, I just don't see it.

The last few times I've seen Whitlock he's been magnificant! His finishing is second to none. A 170 followed by a 150 against Wade was unreal. I think he'll beat Barney and give Taylor a good go in the final.

He's an 18 year old in and around the first team. He's had some good games and some poor games, of course he can make it. If we werent in the situation we are in now I think he'd have been out on loan but we need to depth at the moment.

The 7-1's, 6-1's, 3-0's etc haven't come about through a gung-ho attitude. Its been through proper teamwork and serious effort. At 5-1 up V United I still seen Boyd and Davis bust a gut to get back and close down a Dundee Utd attack. Thats why I'm not even too bothered about what team plays. Although the team has changed slightly, the attitude since the defeat at aberdeen has been phenomenal.

Edu shouldnt start. Even in his little apperance against Motherwell he didnt look anything like ready to play in an old firm game. He didn't even get any game time against Dundee Utd so I think the managment think the same...

He's a very useful bench player. He acts as cover for several positions. I like him in the squad, but at full back his frailties are shown up far too much. He actually gets skinned by everyone and anyone. I've actually always liked him wide left. He seems to have had great games playing out there and can chip in with goals. I also agree that, although I think he only took 2, his corners were better than anyone else in our team.

It's not like he has any competition either. Hilario isn't up to much and Turnbull is pretty pish.
