  1. Stranraer - as badly run as we are
  2. I'm a Times reader too but it's more balanced than that (unfortunately). Aaronovitch and Kaletsky may not be Polly Toynbee but they are nu-Labour supporters and they have major roles with the paper. Britney's in on the act too.
  3. Suchy should have been top priority and a major attempt to bring him here several weeks ago.
  4. Oh FFS, I didn't say it would be him I was just saying how fantastic it would be. If anyone, it will be Brocchi.
  5. Oh, I know it won't be. No harm in wishing though. Yeah true I wish for Messi , Kaka , Cannavaro , Puyol and Torres Git
  6. Oh, I know it won't be. No harm in wishing though.
  7. Brocchi Please be Seedorf. Gourcuff would have been even better but he's out on loan already.
  8. Well spank my ass and call me Charlie Hope it doesn't mean no Bresciano/Davis though (can't have both but we still need one of those two). Loovens, Aaron and one of of Bresciano or Davis would make us alot stronger, I think.
  9. I'm probably a fool but not so stupid as to believe Maloney is a quality footballer. Come on people, wake up.
  10. The sooner more fans wake upto this the better I think we all know that. It would shock you, there is still fans that think SDM cleared the debt out of his own pockets. Yes, you're right. Maybe I was a bit too hasty in my reply. After all, I used to believe Murray myself.
  11. So our problems will just disappear if we remain optimistic? Great, pardon me for worrying that the current situation is poor, a bit of positive thinking will sort it all out. I'm all for optimism but it has to be justified. You tell me what's so Rosey down Ibrox way just now because I don't see it.
  12. The sooner more fans wake upto this the better I think we all know that.
  13. DO NOT give Walter Smith £15m. He's spent £20m since he came back and we all know how he spent it, Cuellar aside.
  14. I agree, things are bad enough without the turmoil that would ensue with the return of TBB. Running away and burying ourselves in a hole and pretending it's 1950 won't do. The four estates/establishment are after us and this is one case where thumbing our noses at them won't work. That's sad - I wish it wasn't so but it is.
  15. Exactly. Celtic aren't riding high as some of you think. No excuse for the way Rangers is being run at the moment. Forget them, we are in trouble.
  16. Really? Even better than he was in the treble season in 02-03? I dont think anyone's really turned on Ferguson. The support has always been split with him and theres not much to talk about considering he's out injured for 3 months. 02-03 or the Advocaat years. I was watching matches from 99-00 and we were brilliant. Ferguson dominating midfield with Reyna, GVB and Albertz. 02/03 for me, the link up play between Ferguson, Arteta and de Boer is something we can only dream about now.
  17. Steven Pressley? McSwegan? They had to be given a first-team opportunity due to the 3-foreigner rule in the champions league. I'll always remember Pressley falling on his arse against Marseilles at Ibrox.
  18. It was a gamble and it has failed, in my opinion. Not because of results, poor though they have been since the Spring, but because Walter has spent what is a fortune for Rangers these days and bought a mediocre set of players, most of whom we won't even be able to sell on, never mind actually recoup the money we spent on them (Cuellar excepted and we don't want him sold anyway). For the reason above, I'd say we are in a worse position than when PLG left, particularly after the defeat to Kaunas. WS has spent £20m or so without improving the squad. That £20m has now gone and will not be recouped, we can't afford that nowadays. £20m is enough to build a team of quality players. Add a few decent bosmans to that and we could have had a really good team by now. Whoever follows Walter is going to have a very tough job, made tough by Walter's poor use of finances. ~£2m on players like McCulloch, Miller and Whittaker says it all.
  19. Would love one to be Mendes but I think it's pretty clear that's not happening because of Muntari leaving for Inter.
  20. Stopping their four-in-a-row. No contest. They are thriving off our weakness, not their strengths and that needs to stop.
  21. He is the type of player we all want and most of us will be hoping it works out but, in reality, it's a non-starter. Changed, sad days when we want a quality player from bloody Portsmouth but know we can't afford him or his wages. July 1998 and July 2008 are completely different worlds for a Rangers fan and I took the former for granted.
