    That may well have been the best possible outcome, doubt many would disagree. But what we have walked away with is still a good deal, to make £2m on a player who wasn't even ours and did not want to come here.

    Given the loan has panned out pretty well for Bayern (and us if it nets us a few million) would be good if we could secure another youngster for season in a similar set up.

    Would have been fourth in the pecking order at best last summer though so would have been there as a paperwork excercise only. If he goes into this season as third choice then its plausible he may be required in a kit.

    If we're to assume McCrorie is now 1st or 2nd choice then Wright will likely take over as 3rd choice , I doubt we're going to bring in 2 new goalies. Also meets homegrown criteria for Europe

    Seems to be mainly free transfers we're beeing linked with at the minute, I fancy the forward line is where we'll be spending money, and may be done after we tie up the bosmans.

    There's nothing miserable about it at all. Roofe is a quality player but he simply can't be relied upon so stay fit for more than 4 weeks at a time, the changes coming have to mean getting shot of him.

    Done himself proud today. We'll sign a new keeper in the summer but regardless of who that is McCrorie has to be in the conversation for number 1.
