  1. Helander was injury prone before we signed him. He was far too slow and couldn't pass a ball.
  2. He lost control of the ball a fair number of times. Nowhere near good enough. A midfield equivalent of Ben Davies.
  3. The only positive about Dessers is that he isn't as bad as Lammers.
  4. Don't rate Souttar at all. Would happily use him and Lowry in a swap deal for Shankland. Add Lammers to that deal or Davies.
  5. I know what you mean. As the years pass I reflect on my life since then which the 66 souls never got to fulfil. It makes you appreciate what you have had in life. I actually hate games on this date. It just doesn't sit right with me.
  6. Absolutely. I know these words about going to games as my mum said the same to me. I was 19 at the time and me and my mates were at the game but instead of going down the stairway we decided to go through the wee tunnel at the back of the "Derry" shed and down the track beside the railway line. It brought us out at bottom of the stairway. An unbelievable sight which nobody really grasped the enormity of it at the time. Me and a pal (Davie Currie) ended up about 40 minutes late back to our bus and the bus convener started to give us a moan until we told them what had happened. Only person I ever spoke to about it again for about 40 years was the late Stuart MacQuarrie who was on our bus that day.
  7. The fact that play resumed so quickly is a clear indication that Offside was not even considered at the time. It was a clear handball which could be seen in replays but Collum decided very quickly didn't occur. Nobody claimed offside at the time and there is no guarantee that offside would be given because the only point of interest was whether it was handball or not. The only replays necessary would be close-ups of the handball. What else should be getting discussed is the referee's failure to book their players. McGregor committed 2 fouls in the 2nd minute one of which should have been a yellow card. He committed 3 further fouls which could and should have merited yellow cards in 45, 47 (45+2), and 85 mins. Johnston had 3 yellow card offences 17, 42 (pen) and 64 mins. Bernardo 26 and approx 60 mins. Realistically I don't expect every yellow to be given but to only give out 3 cards from 9 serious fouls is unacceptable. He dished out 3 yellows in the last few minutes for what should only have been verbal warnings.
  8. Watched the entire game again and thought Cantwell was OK. Not his best game but he had very little assistance yesterday for laying off passes. Some very harsh posts from people.
  9. Today's result shouldn't have been a shock to anyone. There were posts on here before the game with ridiculous misplaced optimism. We have a squad of players riddled with poor signings many of whom are on high salaries and will be well nigh impossible to move out without costing us even more millions. Clement has done well with them considering the dross at his disposal. Matondo, Dessers, Lammers, Davies just for starters. I don't expect every player to play well in every game but we have far too many who hardly ever actually merit a wage in any game. Clement has much work to do. Just hope he gets it right.
  10. I know a couple of mature tims who are like that. They were very vociferous at the time 2012-13 but have now gone outwardly quiet because they were laughed at. Inwardly they are still the same as they are easily wound-up about it even now.
  11. Lammers is simply awful. He offers absolutely nothing in midfield. If he starts tomorrow it will give the tims an extra man in midfield. He doesn't even close down players instead aimlessly floating about areas of grass. He is the only matter of concern I have with PC. If we don't have a B Team midfielder who can offer anything more than Lammers then we need a clear out at that level.
  12. I really feel sorry for any of our fans coming over from Northern Ireland.
  13. The only ridiculous thing is your take on the fact I haven't been given any Hearts away tickets since the game at Murrayfield. I need 3 tickets as I go to games with my family and that probably prevents me getting them. My first trips to Tynecastle were in 1960s pay at the gate.
  14. That is some take on it. You are suggesting that I tried not to get tickets!!!
  15. 3 of us are all silver. Yes on CCCS. Think we we were initially in MyGers first season as I had credits with the club and used it for MyGers. I don't agree with MyGers and didn't sign up again for a couple of seasons then reluctantly signed us all up.
  16. I'm probably even older school but 9 games in December is madness. We have 11 games in 34 days. The winter break should be now if at all. It's also pretty pointless when we organise games during it.
  17. I don't know what you are on about. Been going to away games for decades when I get tickets. Only Hearts tickets we got in recent years was when we played them at Murrayfield.
  18. If we get any tickets we get all 3.
  19. The winter break is farcical. If we were going to have such a break it should have started. 9 games in December is bordering on lunacy by the football authorities. The weather is invariably bad in December. Money is tight for many people during the festive season.
  20. Definitely not Hagi. Far too slow and runs out of steam after an hour.
  21. I'm silver. Wasn't in MyGers from the outset. There are 3 of us (friends and family) which probably snookers us for many games.
