Cristiano Ronaldo is not a better footballer than Messi. A better athlete, yes, and that makes him more effective in certain situations, but Messi has far, far more footballing talent than C. People will always try to work out who the best player ever is. It's inevitable, and to dislike or blame a player for the comparisons drawn against them is just fucking absurd. He's 24 and is already spoken of in terms of his place in the all time game. I think by the time he rounds out his career he'll be widely recognised as the best ever.

Any deal that allows them to leave on a free at the end of the season will no doubt be contingent on us still being in our current state at that point. If we're back in a position to pay them whatever they're getting now by then, I doubt many of the current squad would still want out.
